Former Invisible Woman actor Kate Mara reveals whether she and husband Jamie Bell, who played the Thing, will watch the MCU's The Fantastic Four: First Steps ten years after both actors starred in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four. Matt Shakman's The Fantastic Four: First Steps arrives late in the Multiverse Saga, kicking off the MCU's Phase 6. It also comes almost exactly a decade after Josh Trank's Fantastic Four. Although both movies take place in timelines separate from the MCU's main universe, the FF reboot is an official part of Marvel Studios' franchise. 2f1n6w

Kate Mara played the role of Sue Storm in 2015s Fantastic Four, and while the movie wasn't a hit, it would be great to see her and other castmates appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). For all the flaws of the Multiverse Saga, after the explosive success of the Infinity Saga, this era of the MCU has managed to do some great things for Marvel on a larger scale. Before the MCU, and even during its run, Marvel hasn't always had the best track record with movie releases.

As the new adaptation gets nearer than ever, the 2015 Fantastic Fourreboot is getting revisited by the latest episode of Screen Rant's Pitch Meeting series. Serving as the third major adaptation of the Marvel superhero team, the movie was a critical and commercial disaster on release, with the majority of criticism directed towards the movie's darker approach to its source material and lackluster pacing, with some feeling it was only made by Fox to retain the rights to the property. The years since have seen many of the creatives involved speak against the movie, namely co-writer/director Josh Trank.
