The Nintendo Switch Online service has added three new games, with the headliner being Earthworm Jim 2. The titular Earthworm Jim is a nostalgic video game mascot from the era when every studio wanted its own equivalent to Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog, and Earthworm Jim managed to break free from the world of gaming, by receiving his own beloved cartoon series.

There is a lot of speculation around who could be the final fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. During his presentation of the newest fighter, Kazuya, director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that the final slot in the second Fighters DLC will be the last fighter added to the game. It seems safe to bet the final addition will be a character from a blockbuster series, but some might prefer to imagine the choice will be a quirkier (yet technically feasible) possibility.

As Intellivision announced a delay of their Amico console into 2021, they also announced the launch lineup of games, including a sneak peek at the  Earthworm Jim 4. Tommy Tallarico became the president of a reformed Intellivision Entertainment in May 2018, announcing their intentions to revive the 80s console as a new system built for families and casual players. The Amico's feature-rich controllers combine touch screens and motion controls with buttons and the dial imported straight from Mattel's original design. Funded through a wide preorder campaign and Fig investments, the console will cost consumers $250 at launch.

Earthworm Jim is making a surprise return to video games courtesy of a new release. The nineties icon, best known for the 1994 game of the same name and the 1995 television show, is making a comeback with the original development team in tow.
