With the official announcement of an Elden Ringfilm from A24 and Alex Garland in the works, anyone who has spent time playing the game is probably both hopeful and excited to see which characters from the video game they might see brought to life in live-action. Capturing these characters and what makes them so special will be a significant undertaking for Garland, but there's a wealth of source material to draw from as a reference. Based on his past comments, he seems to be a major fan, so for now, there are some high hopes.

FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki considers Dark Souls 2, one of the studio’s most controversial games, to be a “great project” and mentions that its existence led to Elden Ring. The Japanese studio has been on a hot streak of releases and successes. As excited as I am for Elden Ring Nightreign, I’m even more thrilled about what it could bring to a possible Elden Ring sequel later on, as the new approach for the standalone title could result in several improvements to the core FromSoftware games – one of which I’d be happy to see. Nightreign is a new installment in the franchise, but not a direct sequel to 2022’s popular game. The new game will have a different loop, centered around solo or cooperative gameplay. There are many changes in Elden Ring Nightreign that make it unique from the original title.

With theElden Ring film officially confirmed by A24, fans like myself who have spent countless hours exploring the Lands Between are feeling ambivalent about how the story and world will translate to the big screen. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, the Switch 2 version of the game, will add new classes, gear, and a lot more to the well-received game. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition was announced for Switch 2 during the console's official reveal last month, alongside a new FromSoftware title exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 called The Duskbloods. Now, not only is there going to be a new, portable version of the acclaimed title, but there will be additional content added to the game, and the new content isn't exclusive to the Switch 2 release.
