Despite all the teasing, the Green Lantern. It's a shame because one particular combination of their powers would have brought out the best in Oliver Queen.
While Green Arrow has proven that he's got what it takes to make the cut for the Justice League, there's one thing that's painfully obvious with his skillset: he relies on a finite set of arrows. No one doubts that Queen is as eagle-eyed as they come but all the precision and accuracy in the world is no match for an empty quiver. Green Arrow's trick arrows ittedly keep Oliver from ever running into this situation, but even then, a grenade or boxing glove arrow isn't always going to do the trick. Even with a generous allotment of arrows (say, between 50 and 100), there's always the chance that an extremely durable villain could outlast Oliver's best shots.
But it looks like one of Green Arrow's best buddies figured out a clever workaround for this unfortunate limitation. In Green Lantern #8 by Geoff Johns and Carlos Pacheco, the two heroes have fallen under the influence of the interstellar villain Mongul's Black Mercy. The parasitic plant gives Green Lantern and Green Arrow a vision of their most perfect world while slowly killing them. Thankfully, the two manage to break free, just in time for Mongul's sister Mongal to arrive. The Justice Leaguers fight against the villainous siblings with Oliver taking on Mongal. Unfortunately, Green Arrow finds himself fresh out of munitions at the worst possible moment. Thankfully, Green Lantern is aware of the trouble his friend faces and, in the middle of fighting Mongul, replenishes Ollie's quiver with construct arrows, giving him exactly what he needs to beat the villain.
This wouldn't be the first time Green Arrow's used Green Lantern's ring to his advantage, but that doesn't make the moment any less impressive. The two heroes have a history so it stands to reason that they've got a few combo moves like this to help one another out of a jam. Of course, it's extremely unfortunate the Arrowverse just couldn't deliver on what might be the most powerful shared move between Green Lantern and Green Arrow.
For years, fans were hoping that Green Lantern would eventually make his way to the Arrowverse, especially when it revealed that fan-favorite character John Diggle was potentially John Stewart. While there was always an Oliver Queen in the Arrowverse, fans just never got a Green Lantern. And based on this awesome moment the two heroes demonstrate, viewers were robbed. A Green Lantern's Power Ring is virtually limitless, so who knows how many arrows he'd be able to generate for Oliver? Not to mention with a Green Lantern able to construct anything in their imagination, Queen could request some pretty out-there trick arrows. Unfortunately, things just weren't meant to be and Arrowverse fans never got to witness a cool Green Lantern/Green Arrow move.
