Moriah Plath shared her new career interest with Welcome to Plathville fans after revealing that she graduated from bartending school over the summer. Although the reality star was only 20 years old at the time of her graduation, she is already legally bartending events in the state of Florida. It’s an interesting career turn for the aspiring musician that has many fans both excited and concerned.

Moriah continues to leave Welcome to Plathville fans guessing as to what her academic goals are. She expressed interest in attending college back in season 1, but was discouraged by her mother Kim Plath, who did not agree college was the right fit for Moriah. Alas, with a bartending degree under her belt in a state known for its nightlife, Moriah will surely be able to pay Ethan back for her unpaid bills.

Bartending Graduate

Moriah has not revealed which events or how frequently she makes an appearance behind the bar since her graduation from bartending school in July 2022. Moriah's Instagram post went into detail about her experience, and said she is still “in school for other things” in addition to continuing with bartending classes. Considering it was her first experience learning in a group environment after being homeschooled her entire life, Moriah said that she was nervous at first. She added that after the first day of bartending school, it became “her comfort zone” and that she has since gone on to bartend events.

Her tightlipped approach to the announcement of this new career may have to do with her mother Kim’s DUI arrest, which shocked fans and occurred shortly after her graduation. The post announcing her graduation was lighthearted and positive, but saw mixed reception from fans. Some encouraging Instagram s said, “come to Las Vegas! You would make so much money girly. Max is a memory now. Chase your dreams!” Other Welcome to Plathville fans weren’t so kind, telling Moriah it was an awful career choice and referencing her mom's DUI in hateful comments. It was likely a response she feared, considering how delayed the announcement of her graduation was.

From the start of the show, Moriah has craved freedom from the close-minded Plath lifestyle.
