Summary

  • Chris and Brittany have a healthy and loving marriage despite the show's history of failed relationships.
  • They met while working at McDonald's and have been married since 2016, celebrating their anniversary.
  • Although they have no children together, Brittany embraces Chris's grandchildren like her own, while both work towards their weight-loss goals.

1000-lb Sisters stars Chris Combs and his wife, Brittany Combs, appear to be in a very happy marriage, and it's time to look back at their incredible journey. Even though the show centers around sisters Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton, other of the Slaton family have gotten in on the weight-loss action, including their step-brother, Chris, and his wife, Brittany. The series hasn't had the best track record when it comes to marriage, with Amy going through a rough separation recently. Chris and Brittany, however, have what appears to be a healthy, loving relationship.

Chris grew up with Tammy, Amy, and their other siblings in Shawneetown, Illinois. Like his sisters, Chris developed an unhealthy relationship with food at an early age. Their mother worked a lot, so the kids had to feed themselves. They ate a lot of junk food because it was easy and cheaper. As Chris grew up, he started working in the food industry. He worked for the American food corporation Tyson Foods and then worked in the fast food industry, where he met Brittany. While other 1000-lb Sisters marriages haven't fared so well, Chris and Brittany are thriving together.
