After the couple opened up about their relationship, it’s clear that their problems run deep.
Russ and Paola made their 90 Day Fiancé debut in the show’s very first season, and although Russ’ family had their doubts about Paola, the couple got married in 2013 and have been together ever since. After several years and a devastating miscarriage, Russ and Paola welcomed their first son Axel in 2019. However, since then the couple has been having trouble in their marriage and recently Russ and Paola announced they’re taking a break, and many fans feel that they’re never going to reconcile.
When Russ initially brought Paola to the U.S., many of his friends and family were skeptical about their relationship largely because of how different they are. Russ is a typical Oklahoma guy whose life revolves around family and simple pleasures. Paola, on the other hand, craves a more glamorous and adventurous life. Her ions lie with her modeling and wrestling career. With such different interests and values, it’s no surprise that Paola and Russ would have trouble seeing eye-to-eye in their marriage.
In March, Paola revealed her marriage is not doing well, and fans weren’t too shocked. Russ and Paola have faced a lot of hardships from outside influences. After they got married, Russ lost his job and Paola became the sole breadwinner of the family, which has understandably been stressful for her.
