Jennifer Coolidge has revealed that she is willing to return in future American Pie movies in her own inimitable way. One of her early roles was an appearance in the original 1999 sex comedy American Pie, directed by Chris and Paul Weitz. She played the mother of Seann William Scott's rambunctious cad Steve Stifler, a woman whose appearance inspired the popularization of the term "MILF" and who eventually slept with her son's friend Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas). She would return to the role three times in each of the film's official sequels: 2001's American Pie 2, 2003's American Wedding, and 2012's American Reunion.

During her acceptance speech, Coolidge thanked the people who kept her career alive with "cute little jobs" over the years, including Legally Blonde's Reese Witherspoon and The Watcher's Ryan Murphy along with the Weitz Brothers. She was grateful that the American Pie franchise continued to spawn sequels and said that "I’m still going for 6 or 7, whatever they want." Read her full quote below (though note that in the heat of the moment she misattributes the franchise as having five films rather than four):
There were these people who would give me these cute little jobs and it would be enough to get me to the next one… The Weitz brothers kept me going, some of these things would go like five different sequels of American Pie, I milked that to the bone. I mean, I’m still going for six or seven, whatever they want, you know?
Could Jennifer Coolidge Appear in the Next American Pie Movie?
Luckily for Jennifer Coolidge, a new American Pie movie is already in the works. The film is currently being developed and written by former Insecure star Sujata Day, and will reportedly be a "fresh take" on the series. This most likely means that it will follow a new core group of characters rather than the original featured players Stifler, Finch, Jim (Jason Biggs), Oz (Chris Klein), and Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas).
However, even if the reboot doesn't center around these characters, there is always the chance for any of them to appear in cameos. There is also one element that links every film in the American Pie franchise, including the five direct-to-video American Pie Presents spin-off films that were released between 2005 and 2020: one of the lead characters is a member of the extended Stifler family. If this new film keeps consistent with that connection, it makes perfect sense that Coolidge could appear as Stifler's Mom in some capacity.
American Pie Has a History of Recurring Actors
Another point in Coolidge's favor is the fact that the American Pie franchise at large tends to embrace recurring actors. Although the 2020 reboot outing American Pie Presents: Girls' Rules didn't include any returning cast , Eugene Levy has reprised his role as Jim's Dad in eight of the nine films, even for projects where Jim didn't appear. Other cast who have returned for the spin-offs include Chris Owen as Chuck Sherman and Tad Hilgenbrink as Matt Stifler, so there is hope for fans of Stifler's Mom no matter what direction the American Pie franchise goes.
