The latest Animal Crossing LEGO sets have been announced, and they feature everyone's favorite owl museum curator and several other beloved characters from the franchise. Animal Crossing is the long-running cozy island living simulator that allows players to shape their islands into whatever they want them to be, quite literally. This makes Animal Crossing the perfect franchise to bring to LEGO sets, which are also based around building and creating.

A number of other iconic Animal Crossing characters and locations have already been turned into LEGO sets, including some fan favorites like Marshall, Fauna, Celeste, and the iconic tanooki himself, Tom Nook. The latest beloved character to get a LEGO form is Blathers the owl, who will be available as part of a LEGO set in August, according to jmathews777 on Reddit. Two other sets will be arriving in August alongside Blathers', bringing even more of the Animal Crossing magic and characters to the physical world.

New Animal Crossing LEGO Sets Announced for August

Fan-Favorites Goldie, Lily, Fang, And Others Arriving In LEGO Form Soon

The LEGO version of Blathers, titled Blathers's Museum Collection, will come with the actual museum, complete with a fish tank, triceratops fossil, and many adorable small details like the game's star symbol in the grass that alerts players to something buried in the ground. The owl will also be accompanied by the charming pink-cheeked frog villager, Lily, who will be armed with a fishing rod and a net to collect more specimens for the museum.

The second Animal Crossing set that's coming in August is called Creative Houses: Seasons of Fun, and will show off the four seasons as they appear in Animal Crossing, from the fruit-leaden summer pear tree to the snow-covered winter fir. This kit will also include Fang, Stitches, and Fuchsia, three popular characters from the franchise.

The final LEGO set will star the loyal and easygoing golden retriever villager, Goldie. Called Goldie's Cozy House, the kit will be on the smaller size with just 149 pieces (as opposed to 814 in Creative Houses and 543 in Blathers' set) and will feature Goldie's cozy little house, some outdoor decor like a picnic table, and, of course, Goldie herself.

Several Older Animal Crossing Sets Are Scheduled To Retire Soon

As New Kits Arrive, Old Ones Depart

The reveal of the new LEGO sets coming this August comes on the heels of news that most of the existing Animal Crossing sets are scheduled to retire at the end of this year. Eight of the 11 sets currently available are set to stop production on December 31, 2025, including Isabelle's House Visit, K.K.'s Concert at the Plaza, Bunnie's Outdoor Activities, and other fan-favorites.

Although LEGO set retirement dates are subject to change, this might still be the last year that fans can buy the themed LEGO sets from the official store. Once they're gone, the only way to get hold of the retired sets will be through secondhand sources, which will likely drastically increase their price. Luckily, it seems that the Animal Crossing being removed are getting replaced with exciting new sets like the ones just announced for August.
