Any Animal Crossing fans thinking of buying the franchise's LEGO sets don't have much time left to get them, as most prepare to retire at the end of this year. The build-it-yourself nature of LEGOs lends itself well to the Animal Crossing franchise, which is themed around creating your own island. Unfortunately, LEGO sets do cease sales after a certain period of availability, and the Animal Crossing kits are officially nearing their expiration date.
Fans who have been on the fence about getting the sets may not get the chance to do so after December 31, when production and official sale of the kits will cease. The information was highlighted by Reddit skyline7284, who points out that eight out of the 11 currently existing Animal Crossing sets will no longer be available as of the end of this year.
Which Animal Crossing LEGO Sets Are Retiring Soon?
Eight Sets Prepare To Stop Production
There have been 12 Animal Crossing LEGO sets since the franchise made the leap to the beloved blocks in March of last year. The Animal Crossing LEGO sets scheduled to retire on December 31 of this year are the following:
- Julian's Beach Painting
- Julian's Birthday Party
- Bunnie's Outdoor Activities
- Kapp'n's Island Boat Tour
- Isabelle's House Visit
- Nook's Cranny & Rosie's House
- Fly with Dodo Airline
- K.K.'s Concert at the Plaza
Maple's Pumpkin Garden is the 12th and final Animal Crossing LEGO set, but it was only available briefly as a limited-time run.
The Able Sisters' Clothing Shop is currently scheduled to retire on Jul 31, 2026, while Stargazing with Celeste will be available until December 31 of next year. Leif's Caravan & Garden Shop, which only released in the beginning of 2025, will likely be available through next year and has no retirement date at the moment.
Animal Crossing LEGO Sets Are A Great Buy For Fans
Whether You Love Animal Crossing Or LEGO
The Animal Crossing LEGO sets are great for fans of both LEGOs and the AC franchise, as they combine fans' love of the game with their love of building and creating. The sets feature small scenes from island life and feature several beloved villagers from Animal Crossing, like Marshal, Fauna, and Bunnie, as well as several franchise staple characters like Tom Nook, Isabelle, and Kapp'n.
Although the sets are all sold separately and don't connect, some fans have even managed to create their own desktop version of an Animal Crossing island by combining all the sets into one build. Although time is running out for anyone who wants to buy the LEGO sets featuring the Animal Crossing franchise, it's worth noting that retirement dates for LEGO sets often change. Still, if you've been on the fence about buying these charming sets, production of these sets might cease by the end of the year, driving supply down and prices, potentially, up.
