Dylan is most interested in Japanese animation, or "anime," but loves exploring manga as well as other source material genres, such as manhwa/manhua, light novels, and web novels. Dylan is always down for a good sports series or Ghibli film, with his favorites being Chihayafuru, and Princess Mononoke, respectively.

Dylan's writing has appeared professionally in a variety of settings and forms. His poems have been published in multiple literary magazines and journals, he has contributed to article drafts and script writing as a curatorial assistant at the National Museum of American History, and he works as a freelance writer with The Haikuists.
