Patrick Macias is the editor in chief of Otaku USA magazine, the founding editor of Crunchyroll News, and the author of numerous books about Japanese pop culture. He lives in Tokyo, Japan where he co-hosts the Pure TokyoScope Podcast

As a writer and editor, Patrick Macias has worked for such companies as Viz Media, Netflix, and Crunchyroll. In 2017, he wrote the original story for the anime series URAHARA, which was broadcast in Japan and streamed globally.
