Not only did they vibe together, but the pair were amazing when fighting together. In fact, the two got along so well, they even tried dating to see if any sparks flew.

The two’s first (and only) date was seen in Batgirl #41, where Cassandra tracks down Conner to the Kent Farm in Smallville, allowing the two spend the evening together. They have a fun date that everything a pair of superhero teens could want, from flying through the skies to fighting side-by-side. However, at the end of the date, the two decided they’d work better as friends. Cassandra and Connor have remained friends in the years following, but many fans still wonder what it would have been like had Superboy and Batgirl continued dating.
