Warning! Contains spoilers for Batman and Robin #1!Father and son are back together as Batman and Robin reunite to become the Dynamic Duo once more. After years of drama and infighting, Bruce Wayne and his son, Damian, have become the team fans need right now.
The last few years have been a series of ups and downs Batman's intense war with Catwoman in "Gotham War".
Batman and Robin Are Rebuilding Their Relationship
In Batman and Robin #1 by Joshua Williamson and Simone Di Meo, the iconic hero pair are back in action together, and the two manage to save a group of hostages taken by White Rabbit. After bringing the criminal to justice, Damian moves into Bruce's brownstone in downtown Gotham. With Selina Kyle's plan still driving a wedge in the Bat-Family, it's just Bruce and Damian living together for the first time. Despite a bit of awkwardness, the two readjust to living with one another. However, Bruce drops the bomb on Damian that he's going to start attending high school. Damian, however, is more concerned with the string of break-ins in science facilities and believes he's found the connecting threads. The Dynamic Duo springs into action to save a recently kidnapped scientific expert, which includes taking a ride in Damian's powerful new Robin Mobile.
Batman and Robin might be working together again, but they still have a ways to go in getting back to normal. Not only has Damian been busy with his world travels, but Bruce has had some intense adventures recently as well (including a trip around the multiverse). That being said, for the first time in years, Damian and Bruce are getting a chance to get know one another again, both as partners in the field and as father and son. In the midst of a trying family event like "Gotham War", fans are undoubtedly ready to see Batman and Robin's relationship thrive.
Batman and Robin Have the Dynamic Bat-Family Fans Need
Batman's relationship with the Bat-Family is rapidly decaying in the "Gotham War" crossover, and fans haven't been on board seeing Bruce's bonds with his allies fall apart. But Batman and Robin goes for the opposite approach by focusing on a relationship that is building up rather than breaking down. The fans who were devastated seeing Damian leave Batman's side years ago are almost certainly overjoyed to see the two back together and working on reforging their relationship. With the Bat-Family falling apart, fans need there to be at least one healthy bond in the bunch.
