Summary
- Bri continuously makes mistakes in the laundry, affecting the crew's uniforms and linens.
- Captain Sandy shows favoritism towards Bri, despite her consistent poor performance.
- Introduction of a new stew, Carrie O'Neill, may serve as a backup for Bri's potential firing.
Bri Muller has performed poorly consistently as the third stew on Below Deck Mediterranean, with Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Aesha Scott showing way too much favoritism towards the troubled yachtie. The third stew job is an entry-level position, and while Bri showed an eagerness to learn from second stew Elena "Ellie" Dubaich and Aesha early in the season, her attitude shifted when she and Ellie showed interest in Below Deck Mediterranean season 9.
Bri and Ellie have feuded for nearly the entire season, and despite their fighting over a boy, their disagreements bubbled over into their work life. Between Ellie purposefully neglecting to clean the cabins before her break and Bri's supposed "burn book" in the laundry, Ellie and Bri are putting Chief Stew Aesha's managerial skills to the test. While Ellie certainly isn't fully innocent in their feud, Bri's inability to do her job and remain professional with the second stew merits her firing; it's time for her to go.

Bri Can’t Handle The Laundry But Blames Ellie
She Keeps Making Mistakes
On the surface, doing the laundry doesn't seem to be a complicated job. However, on a charter yacht, the laundry is an important facet of ensuring a smooth interior. The crew's uniforms need to be cleaned and pressed, with the whites remaining crisp and professional and no mixups between polos. Additionally, there are plenty of linens and napkins that need to be cleaned daily. Bri keeps making mistakes in the laundry, whether it's laundering whites alongside other colors or misplacing Captain Sandy's shirts.
Bri made so many mistakes in the laundry that she started a notebook to keep track of her tasks, but it came off as an attempt to frame Ellie while absolving herself of mistakes. Aesha even called it a "burn book," though Bri claimed the notebook was only for her use. Regardless, Bri is a master manipulator conspiring to get her coworker fired or can't handle doing the laundry, both of which are firable offenses.
Captain Sandy Is Playing Favorites
She Clearly Sides With Bri
Captain Sandy has been criticized for poor crew performance in Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, and while she has a lot on her plate, her favoritism of Bri isn't a good sign. She hasn't connected with Ellie and, instead, coaches Bri on how to shake off Ellie's treatment and gain confidence. Despite Bri's consistent mistakes, Captain Sandy insists that third stew is an entry-level position and views it as her mission to help Bri grow. However, Bri hasn't grown, and Chief Stew Aesha clearly doubts her ability to perform even as a good stew.
However, Aesha has also shown favoritism towards Bri. She seems more empathetic to her storyline and responds to Ellie by consistently saying that she heard the opposite from Bri. Bri is causing way more trouble than she's worth, and Aesha should see that replacing her and training someone new will be less of a headache in the long run.
Who Will Replace Bri As Third Stew?
It Could Be Newcomer Carrie O'Neill
According to The Daily Dish and a new preview for the rest of the Below Deck Mediterranean season 6, there's a new stew coming aboard. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that Bri is getting fired. Captain Sandy lamented having only three stews on a yacht that needed four, and Carrie O'Neill, the alleged new stew, might be coming in to ease tension and fill out the crew. However, Aesha is also testing Bri, allowing Ellie to wash service items such as napkins and linens. Therefore, if there are still issues with staff uniforms, it will fall entirely on Bri.
Bringing in another stew provides a backup for Bri if she fails to fix her consistently poor performance.
Captain Sandy asks Aesha, "How would you feel if we brought in another stew?" suggesting Carrie is not a replacement but rather an addition to the interior crew. However, if Bri keeps making the same mistakes, Captain Sandy and Aesha know they can run the interior with only three stews. While Bri is well-meaning, she allows her feud to distract her, and it's caused her work to suffer. She, unfortunately, needs to get fired from Below Deck Mediterranean season 9.
Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
