June 2025 is starting strong with some exciting movies arriving in theaters, accompanying some of May's biggest releases. So far, 2025 has continued 2024's successful streak on the big screen. Now that 2025 has reached its mid-point, it's worth taking a look back at some of the biggest theatrical releases so far, but even more exciting are all the movies from different genres that are coming in the second half of the year – and summer 2025 will be packed with exciting movies.

The final days of May saw the release of a new Karate Kid movie with Karate Kid: Legends, the latest Wes Anderson movie (with an all-star cast, of course) titled The Phoenician Scheme, and the horror movie Bring Her Back, by the directors of Talk To Me. ing these and some of May's biggest theatrical hits this weekend is a survival horror movie involving sharks and the highly anticipated John Wick spinoff.

The John Wick saga keeps growing, and its next step is the spinoff From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. When Eve goes on a mission to avenge her father’s death, she comes across some of the most dangerous assassins and criminals in the world. Ballerina is the fifth entry in the John Wick movie franchise.

Thunderbolts* is the final movie in the MCU’s Phase Five.
