Prior to Big Brother 22: All-Stars, Cody Calafiore fought his way to the Big Brother 16 finale along with alliance member Derrick Levasseur. Cody was 23 years old when he first competed on the show. He was residing in Howell, New Jersey at the time, having lived his entire life in NJ. Back then, Cody worked as a sales executive and had somewhat of an emerging corporate career. However, things started to shift for Cody during his time on the show... and he ultimately went on to land many jobs in acting and modeling in subsequent years.
In his introductory interview for Big Brother 16, Cody described himself as a superfan of the show. His hobbies included working out and watching romantic movies. Furthermore, he disclosed the fact that he had been drafted to play in a professional soccer team back in college. Unfortunately, Cody had an injury that compromised his career in sports. Despite the fact that his career in showbiz hadn't properly started yet, he had already been featured on Seventeen Magazine.
Cody Calafiore won several competitions and ed various alliances during BB16. In total, Cody won three Head of Household competitions and three Power of Veto competitions. He also managed to survive two nominations. Cody was a part of the Bomb Squad alliance during the first few weeks of the season. That alliance ultimately had nine : Cody, Derrick, Amber, Caleb, Christine, Devin, Frankie, Hayden, and Zach. On the other hand, the alliance changed configurations quite a few times depending on certain events. After several evictions and game moves, the Bomb Squad naturally evolved into the smaller Detonators alliance, which consisted of Cody, Derrick, Christine, Frankie, and Zach. In the middle of that second configuration, Cody and Derrick struck a Final 2 deal and called it the Hitmen.
The Bomb Squad and the subsequent Detonators dominated the Big Brother 16 house. Ultimately, that season did not have a lot of power struggles. More specifically, the Hitmen (Cody and Derrick) held most of the power, and their alliance prevailed over all others. In the end, Cody and Derrick kept Victoria around, who was one of the weakest players of the season when it came to competitions. Consequently, the final HOH competition was a breeze for Cody to win. And as expected, he took Derrick to the Final 2. At the finale, Derrick won over Cody in a 7-2 jury vote. The two people that voted for Cody were Jocasta and Donny... both of whom had never been associated with either Cody or Derrick throughout the game.
Many years later, Cody returned to the show to compete on Big Brother 22: All-Stars. Going in, his biggest mission was to prove that he could be a strong player without the help of his alliance member Derrick.
Big Brother 22: All-Stars airs Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8pm EST on CBS.
