Netflix's Big Mouth is a raunchy — and at times, brutally honest — series about middle schoolers going through the trials of puberty, and here's what the Big Mouth cast looks like. Big Mouth season 5 brings the main cast back for more hijinks, as well as introducing a slate of new characters. As one of the series' main characters, Big Mouth season 5's cast sees Nick Burch trying to navigate his daily life after realizing he has a crush on Jessi Glaser, one of his best friends. Maury will be continuing his role as Andrew and Matthew's hormone monster, leading them through the challenges of young love and No Nut November. Still in the midst of her breakup with Jay, Lola is determined to turn love into a battlefield as she swears vengeance against him.

As one-half of the duo who created Big Mouth, Nick Kroll voices a wide variety of characters. is loosely based on Kroll's life and his experience growing up with his friend, Andrew Goldberg. Kroll's voice acting can be heard in movies like Sing, where he plays Gunter the pig, and as Uncle Fester in The Addams Family.

John Mulaney As Andrew Glouberman & Detective Florez

Andrew Glouberman is Nick's socially awkward, sex-obsessed best friend. In the past four seasons, Andrew has struggled in the worlds of romance and friendship. But, with his best friends at his side, Andrew is taking on the eighth grade and all of the body shaming and jealousy that comes with it. Detective Florez, a member of the police department, makes an appearance as the kids of Bridgeton Middle School take on their offensive mascot.

John Mulaney rose to fame with his stand-up routines. Now, he has ventured into the world of acting. Mulaney has appeared in movies like Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse as well as TV series like The Simpsons and Dickinson. On top of acting, Mulaney has written for and made frequent appearances on Saturday Night Live.

Between dealing with friendship jealousy, dodging her best friend's affections, and a shifting family dynamic, Jessi has plenty on her plate in Big Mouth season 5.

Jessi Klein typically works as a writer and producer, contributing to projects like Heroes of Comedy and Inside Amy Schumer. Klein has produced several episodes of Big Mouth. Klein is also a well-known standup comedian, as well as the author of "You'll Grow Out of It."

Big Mouth's Missy Foreman-Greenwald is intelligent and usually plays by the rules — but after embracing her Black identity in Big Mouth season 4, Missy has been exploring who she really is. Big Mouth season 5 sees Missy continuing this journey, coming to with her changing body, new crushes, and hate worms.

Missy has recently gone through a voice actor change. Jenny Slate voiced Missy from Big Mouth season 1 to season 4 but decided to the role on to allow a voice actor of color to take the helm. After voicing her in the last two episodes of Big Mouth season 4, Ayo Edebiri is taking on the role of Missy full-time in Big Mouth season 5. Edebiri has previously worked as a writer and an actress for Dickinson.

Connie the Hormone Mistress has returned to shepherd Jessi through yet another year of puberty. After dumping Nick in Big Mouth season 4 to focus on Jessi, Connie is devoting all of her attention to helping Jessi navigate the confusing world of sexuality and vicious friendships. Big Mouth season 5 also introduces Bonnie the Hormone Monster, Connie's sister and Leah's hormone monster.

Maya Rudolph is yet another titan of comedy — and the voice behind Connie's iconic "bubble bath." After getting her start on Saturday Night Live, Maya Bridesmaids and 50 First Dates. On top of frequent appearances on Saturday Night Live, Rudolph can be found in series like The Good Place and movies like Luca and The Mitchells vs. The Machines.

After coming out to his mother in Big Mouth season 4, Matthew was faced with a difficult choice between his family and his boyfriend, Adrian; just when it seemed like he could have it all, a chance encounter in the locker room in Big Mouth season 5 throws Matthew for a loop.

Andrew Rannells is a veteran of television. Rannells has voiced characters in iconic series like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh; now, Rannells can be found voicing William Clockwell in Invincible and playing Blair Pfaff on Black Monday. Rannells is also known for his Broadway performances, taking on roles like Elder Price in The Book of Mormon and King George III in Hamilton.

Adam Scott as Mr. Keating - Mr. Keating is the epitome of a cool teacher; he swears, he stands on desks, and he manages to make Shakespeare seem cool. However, he meets his match when he's employed at Bridgeton Middle. Mr. Keating is played by Adam Scott, who is known for acting in comedies such as Parks & Rec, The Good Place, and Stepbrothers.

Kumail Nanjiani as himself - In Big Mouth season 5, Jay attempts to convince his classmates to partake in No Nut November with him in hopes that it will help him get over Lola. When his friends seem hesitant, Jay turns to videos of Kumail Nanjiani, who claims that abstaining from masturbating has improved his life. In real life, Kumail Nanjiani is known for his roles in Silicon Valley and Eternals.

Chloe Fineman as Leah, Nick's older sister - Leah Birch is Nick's older, cooler sister. Leah is also a frequent object of Andrew's affections, despite the fact that Leah is generally repulsed by his existence. Previously voiced by Kat Dennings, Leah is played by Chloe Fineman in Big Mouth season 5. Fineman has appeared on Nora From Queens, Dickinson, and Saturday Night Live. 

Brandon Kyle Goodman as Walter, a lovebug and a hate worm - As the kids of Bridgeton Middle get swept up in various romances, the lovebugs arrive to help guide them through their budding emotions. Walter serves as Nick's lovebug, helping him in his attempt to change his friendship with Jessi into something more. Brandon Kyle Goodman has previously Curb Your Enthusiasm and will reprise his role as Walter in the Big Mouth spin-off, Human Resources. 

Keke Palmer as Rochelle, a hate worm - On the opposite end of the spectrum from love bugs are hate worms — nasty little bugs who appear when that festering dislike turns into full-on hate. Rochelle serves as Missy's hate bug, using her frustrations with her friends and family to turn Missy into someone her friends no longer recognize. Keke Palmer rose to fame as a Nickelodeon star, appearing on True Jackson, VP. Since then, Keke Palmer branched into a musical career on top of appearing in TV series such as Scream.

Pamela Adlon as Sonya, a love bug - As another love bug assigned to the kids of Bridgeton Middle, Sonya serves as Jessi's lovebug. Sonya works to help her to navigate the confusing world of crushes, both romantic and platonic. Pamela Adlon is known for voicing Bobby Hill on King of the Hill.

Jemaine Clement as Simon Sex - Simon Sex is another hormone monster, as well as Maury's best friend. Simon is a more laidback, sensual hormone monster than Maury, helping Andrew tap into his sensitive side. Jermaine Clement has previously appeared in Legion and Steven Universe. 

Kristen Schaal as Bernie Sanders -  When Andrew goes on winter vacation with the Birches, he meets a girl by the name of Bernadette — or Bernie — Sanders, and the two become quick friends. Kristen Schaal is best known for playing Louise on Bob's Burgers and Wendy on Gravity Falls.

Hugh Jackman as himself - Hugh Jackman makes a brief appearance as himself — sort of. During one of Maury's "seminars," he gives a shout-out to a penis that looks like Hugh Jackman, which the actor lent his voice to. Jackman is best known for portraying Wolverine in the X-Men franchise.
