So the fact that there was still a huge amount of content left to cover made the decision to end Blue Lock: Episode Nagi's manga at this point even more baffling to fans, who can’t help but wonder if it’s connected to Nagi not making the cut for the U-20 World Cup team in Blue Lock’s main story. However, it could also be a narrative decision by Blue Lock's writer, Muneyuki Kaneshiro, to highlight the importance of ego in the story and how ruthless the competitive world of soccer is for those who aren't fully committed to being the best.

Fans May Not Have Seen the Best of Nagi Yet

It has been confirmed by Muneyuki Kaneshiro that Nagi is the second protagonist of Blue Lock, but after failing to gain an ego, he fell down to the 24th spot in Blue Lock’s bidding ranking system and ended up having to exit the program, much to the reader's disbelief. However, Nagi was recently the focus in Blue Lock chapter 302, where he comes back to his regular life and is hit by the reality that he wishes to return to Blue Lock.

This could hint that the decision to end the spin-off manga might be to keep fans in the dark regarding if Nagi will come back to the story at some point. Additionally, Nagi had an offer from a club, and contrary to what was stated in the first chapter of Episode Nagi, he still hasn't found his own ego. Also, Nagi serves as a parallel to the character of Isagi. Nevertheless, since there are still a couple of chapters left, fans should be certain that Blue Lock's author will give Episode Nagi a satisfying ending.
