Shubham Goel was the runner-up of The Circle: What Happened to Deleesa (Trevor) After Season 2

Shubham Explains How His Game Changed Since The Circle Season 1

Shubham Goel on The Circle

Shubham was able to watch himself in The Circle season 1 and make some changes before reentering the game for The Circle season 5. According to Shubham, "This time, because I knew I was going to go as a catfish, there was definitely more of a strategic element I had to play." Shubham also credited his Circle season 1 castmates, Joey Sasso and Sammie Cimarelli, adding, "I definitely took parts of their game and adapted it towards mine."

While Shubham was not as successful in his return to The Circle, he still put up a good fight while he was on the show. His attempt to lead a revolution with the new players ultimately failed, but his spirit was always in the right spot. The Circle has been known to throw twists and turns at the contestants, and Shubham handled each logically. Ultimately, it was not enough, as Shubham was blocked shortly after ing the season.

The Circle has always been a fickle game. Sometimes, the players are on the top of the rankings, and the next episode they're gone. Although Shubham did not outdo his second-place finish from The Circle season 1, he was still as fun to watch as ever. In The Circle season 1, he played himself and was somewhat shy but endearing nonetheless. Shubham's return showed a new side to him and made the fans who watch The Circle for the strategy proud. Shubham certainly made an impression on the show, leaving fans to wonder if this will be the last time they see him competing on a Netflix reality show outside of The Circle.

The Circle season 5 streams Wednesdays on Netflix.
