There have been multiple teases from the cast and crew of Johnny Lawrence’s dojo, after Miguel (Xolo Maridueña). The roster expanded from there, but Aisha remained an important part of the show through season 2. However, she didn’t make a single appearance in the show’s third season.

It was explained in the Cobra Kai season 3 premiere that Aisha now attends a private school. Though Aisha was certainly someone Johnny would have wanted to recruit when he was building Eagle Fang Karate, Aisha wasn’t mentioned again by any of the characters. For many, that was disappointing, as it would have been interesting to see how Aisha would have reacted to Kreese (Martin Kove) taking over Johnny’s dojo and encouraging his students to be even more violent and ruthless. However, the possibility of Aisha coming back into the story after season 3 hasn’t been ruled out. There’s a chance that she could be involved in some way with the conflict with Cobra Kai or the next All-Valley Karate Tournament.

After saying that Aisha wouldn’t be in season 3, Cobra Kai showrunner Jon Hurwitz explained that he told Nichole Brown that not being included didn’t mean she couldn’t be around for later. Co-showrunner Josh Heald seemed to echo these sentiments, and suggested that Aisha’s exit could make a grand entrance possible in the future. Heald said “that sometimes people need to exit to make their [re-entry] a little bit different and bigger, ” [via TVLine]. Heald has made similar comments in other interviews, and at one point claimed that “no one’s ever written out of our show” [via EW].
