There are several ways players can make their cookies stronger in Cookie Run: Kingdom. The most straightforward ways are through upgrading their base level and skill level, as well as equipping the right Toppings and Beascuits. Some cookies have exclusive ways to make their skills more powerful – a handful full of epic cookies have Magic Candies, whilst most of the legendary cookies have Crystal Jams.
Ancient cookies also have an exclusive promotion feature where players can upgrade them to their Awakened forms, but even after all of this, you may find that your power levels still aren't matching up to others in the arena. This may be because you're neglecting other areas of the game that you skipped over or have simply forgotten about. These parts of Cookie Run: Kingdom may not be a part of your daily routine, but you should definitely consider checking them out once in a while.
Leveling Up Landmarks & The Statue Of Heroic Radiance Grants Permanent Buffs
All Landmarks Provide A Bonus, & A Handful Directly Boost Cookie Abilities
Outside production and decoration, many players aren't very focused on the buildings in their kingdom. This is especially true for landmarks, since most of them cost lots of crystals, which most would prefer to save to use in the gacha. Even if a landmark does get purchased, it costs you further materials to upgrade them to get their benefits. When it comes to a landmark such as the Molten Magma mountain, you may find that the high price isn't worth it for less Bear Jelly Train trading time, but a lot of landmarks can boost cookie abilities.
Landmark |
Buff |
---|---|
Chocolate Altar of the Fallen |
Increases All Cookies' Crit Damage |
Dark Lord's Castle |
Increases All Cookies' Damage Resistance |
Dreaming Jelly Lion Statue |
Increases All Cookies' Attack Stat |
Eerie Haunted House |
Increases All Cookies' Critical Hit Chance |
Eternal Hero Memorial |
Increases Ancient Cookies' HP |
Everwinter Snow Globe |
Increases All Cookies' Defense |
Morning Dew Garden |
Increases All Cookies' HP |
Ominous Cake Tower |
Increases All Cookies' HP |
Upgrading a landmark increases the bonus they provide, and maxing them all out will significantly increase the power level of your cookies, so even though it is a little pricey, the purchase is definitely worth it. The Statue of Heroic Radiance also acts similarly to a landmark, providing cookies with general improvements. I would especially recommend leveling up the Ominous Cake Tower, since it requires Chaos Cake Pieces to upgrade, which aren't used for much else. If you're a returning player with pieces left over from the Tower of Sweet Chaos, you'll probably find that you have a lot to spare.
The Sugar Gnome Laboratory Shouldn’t Be Ignored
The Laboratory Provides Lots Of Quality Of Life Improvements, Including Tweaks To Cookie Toppings and Leveling
Another feature which is often pushed to the side is the Sugar Gnome Laboratory; the building is tucked away in a corner, and you have to complete a short questline to complete it. The quest becomes available when your Cookie Castle reaches level five, and the laboratory contains two technologies which you can research: Kingdom Technology and Cookie Technology. The former is useful for general quality of life improvements, but what you're going to want to focus on is Cookie Technology.

All Cookie Run: Kingdom Codes (March 2025)
In Cookie Run: Kingdom, players will want to use the latest codes to build their kingdom and recruit more cookies to jumpstart their path to victory.
As you progress down the Cookie Technology branch, you can increase the HP, Defense, Attack, and Critical hit damage dealt by your cookies, one at a time. The laboratory also allows you to make it easier to raise the power of your cookies in the traditional ways – Tastier Star Jellies is one of the earliest upgrades on the branch, and increases the experience earned from Star Jellies in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Other improvements include cheaper and more convenient topping upgrades, as well as extra topping and beascuit presets.
Costumes Can Do More Than Change A Cookie’s Appearance
Costume Sets Make The Involved Cookies Stronger
If you’re a newer or casual player of Cookie Run: Kingdom, you may not put too much focus on collecting costumes. They have their own separate gacha which requires players to earn Rainbow Cubes, and it makes sense that players may prioritize other areas of the game over it. You may have missed that costumes grant your cookies more than different aesthetics, and obtaining them is another way of making your cookies more powerful.
The majority of costumes, especially those of higher rarities, are part of a set. Costume sets grant buffs to the relevant cookies, based on the amount of costumes you own. These individual bonuses stack on top of each other; for example, in Pure Vanilla Cookie and Shadow Milk Cookie's costume set, you'll receive the same +15 to attack and +2.5% to critical hit resistance twice if you earn both costumes. Other sets with more than two cookies will gradually provide improved bonuses. For the most optimized team, you should engage in all aspects of Cookie Run: Kingdom.
