Star of after they lost their baby, Annabell, at 20 weeks.
The show began back in 2015, but Counting On won't have any more seasons past 2021. Following family member Josh Duggar's criminal charges for receiving and possessing child pornography, the show was canceled. 19 Kids and Counting was originally taken off the air after a 2006 police report revealed an investigation into Josh for the molestation of five underage girls. He was 15 at the time of the investigation. If found guilty during his November trial, Josh will be looking at 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count. The Duggar's long reign on TLC, which began back in 2008, will be coming to a close with this cancelation and Josh's trial.
Despite all of this, Joy-Anna seemed to be in good spirits as she took to Instagram to show off her new hairstyle. The video depicts Joy-Anna adding blonde highlights to her naturally brown hair for the first time ever. "New hair, Same me!" Joy-Anna wrote in the caption. "First time coloring my hair!! What do y’all think?" Bringing up Bates star Carlin Stewart, whose reality show also followed her and her 18 siblings, came along with Joy-Anna as she got her hair done. "Ahhh…love it so much! You are BEAUTIFUL" Carlin commented on the IG post.
A few other Counting On stars and Duggar family also commented on Joy-Anna's post. Claire Duggar, Joy-Anna's sister-in-law through Justin Duggar, also commented, calling Joy-Anna "gorgeous." Joy-Anna's sisters, Jessa Seewald, Jinger Vuolo, and Jana Duggar, all complimented their sibling's new hairstyle. The TLC star went to hairstylist Alex York for her hair transformation while visiting Carlin and her family. "Spontaneous trip to Tennessee for some much needed girl time!" Joy-Anna captioned a previous Instagram post, where she also tagged Carlin.
Even though there's a lot of drama going on within the Duggar family between Josh's trial and the show's cancelation, it's nice to see that Joy-Anna is still doing well. The Duggars have been a TLC mainstay for years, so it will be weird to have them missing from the channel. However, fans of Counting On can still keep up with the rest of the siblings from the show through social media.
