Since its release last week, Cyberpunk 2077 has been plagued with bugs, glitches, and quality complaints. s on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have been especially mad about how the game looks on those consoles. This has led CD Projekt Red, the studio behind Cyberpunk 2077, to issue refunds to those players who want them. However, more bug fixes and updates for Cyberpunk are on the way soon.
Even before the game had officially launched, a day one patch was scheduled to fix some of Cyberpunk's worst bugs and glitches. It's since become apparent, though, that the first patch didn't fix a lot of the bugs early reviewers noted - and on the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which no one had access to before launch, they are even worse. Now, CD Projekt Red is working to fix some of these problems as quickly as possible.
Around launch day, additional problems - including animations that cause epileptic seizures and issues - began to arise. Since then, CD Projekt Red has once again issued a fix, with the 1.04 update for Cyberpunk 2077 addressing these problems and some more bugs as well. Still, it's been a rough first week for the game and the studio behind it, so it's not surprising that CD Projekt Red is hurrying to get more updates into Cyberpunk 2077 before it permanently hurts sales of the game.
When More Cyberpunk 2077 Patches & Bug Fixes Are Coming
In an official statement posted on social media sites like Twitter, CD Projekt Red assured players it was working hard on fixing Cyberpunk 2077's many problems. The studio apologized for the way the game looks on PS4 and Xbox One, and offered s a refund. It also announced when more patches and bug fixes will be coming to the game - although did not say whether or not the developers would be continuing crunch to make these fixes release faster.
The next update for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released within the next seven days, although a specific date wasn't shared. Starting in 2021, two major patches will be released that should fix the rest of the issues. The first patch for Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for sometime in January, and the second patch is planned for February. Hopefully, the majority of Cyberpunk's bugs and other problems will be resolved by then.
While these planned updates may do a lot to keep people from simply returning the game for a refund, it's a small consolation for the many people who want to play Cyberpunk 2077 without issues right now. Two months is a long time to wait for a game to fix its problems, especially considering it was already delayed so many times, but players also shouldn't want it to be rushed out, either. Hopefully, once the final planned patch releases in February 2021, these problems will be resolved.
