Cyberpunk 2077 lets players take a joyride through Night City in many different vehicles that range from scrapped-together dune buggies to Bugatti Veyron-lookalikes. While Cyberpunk's world is better explored on-foot because of its many interiors and hidden Easter eggs, weaving through Night City's densely packed roadways in different rides can still be incredibly satisfying. Many of these vehicles are expensive, but there are plenty of free vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077.
Much like the Grand Theft Auto series, V can steal any vehicle in Cyberpunk, so long as they have a high enough Technical Ability attribute. V will also get offers to buy all sorts of cars during the game's campaign, but trying to purchase all of them will cost them well over one million Eddies. Luckily, you have plenty of chances to score free, permanent rides throughout Cyberpunk 2077.
Stolen vehicles cannot be stored in V's garage, so you won't have any opportunities to summon a car or bike you picked up illegally using V's phone.
The Starter Car: Hella EC-D I360
Start With A Solid Ride
Gamers will receive their first free ride almost immediately after the first few main story missions. The Hella isn't anything special, but it'll get V where they need to go early in Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, an accident will temporarily total V's first car at the start of Act 2, and players will need to wait for it to get repaired.

Which Cyberpunk 2077 Lifepath Is Right For You (& Why)
Cyberpunk 2077's Corpo, Street Kid, and Nomad lifepaths all differ from one another, with each lending something unique to a given playthrough.
Once players get access to their first car, they can summon it at any point on the map, much like how GTA Online players request their personal vehicles. However, it is worth pointing out that summoning a vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 does not work for stolen vehicles. Instead, these cars are tucked away in your personal garage, which you can access at any time.
The Starter Cycle: Jackie's Nazare Arch
Sleek Inheritance
V will also inherit Jackie Welles' motorcycle at the start of Act 2 through the quest "Heroes." There are a few ways this mission can play out, but regardless of the choices players make, they'll end up with a bike to call their own. You can also get the Tuned version of this vehicle if you choose the Nomad Lifepath for V at the start of the game.
If you have six Technical Attributes as well, you will get a special dialogue option during "The Pickup" main mission that convinces Jackie to update the bike before they give it to you at the end of "Heroes."
Brennan Apollo Scorpion Motorcycle
Gain Another Quest Reward Bike
V can pick up another free bike by completing the main story quest "Life During Wartime," which sends players on a daring mission with the ing character Panam Palmer. Much like Jackie's Arch, this is a guaranteed free vehicle, so there's no need to worry about missing out on it.
This bike belonged once to Scorpion, a member of the Aldecaldos Nomad clan where you can meet characters like Panam. Simply find this group as you explore the outskirts of Night City to start the missions tied to getting this vehicle for free.
Delamain No. 21: The Fancy Cab
The Smoothest Taxi You'll Ever See
This posh cab can only be acquired after V completes all seven "Epistrophy" missions in Cyberpunk 2077, which require players to track down seven Delamain taxis that have gone rogue.
Taxi Location |
Description |
|
---|---|---|
Heywood / The Glen |
This cab can be found near the edge of a roadway in The Glen. Listen and side with the A.I. for it to return to service. |
|
Heywood / Wellsprings |
Scanning this cab will cause it to threaten the player, simply damage it and it will give up. |
|
Westbrook / North Oak |
The Westbrook cab will be driving around and V will have to scan it, speak with it, and drive it back to the garage. |
|
Santo Domingo / Rancho Coronado |
This cab is out of control and V must help its rampage by destroying flamingos around the area. |
|
Pacifica / Coastview |
The Coastview cab will taunt the player and eventually lead V into an ambush. Defeat the group and the cab will yield. |
|
Watson / Northside |
This cab is hidden in the alleyways of an orange warehouse, find it and it will take off running. Follow the cab, where it will eventually crash and allow V to send it back. |
|
The Badlands |
This cab can be found in the middle of the landfill, get in and speak with the cab and exit when instructed. |
After V finds all the lost cabs, they can return to Delamain HQ and be given the "Don't Lose Your Mind" mission, which will reward them with the free car upon the quest's completion.
The Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo
Luxurious Lifestyle
One of the few real-life car models in Cyberpunk 2077 is up for grabs during the "Chippin' In" mission, where V goes on a misadventure with Johnny Silverhand. At one point in the quest, players will need to decide if they want to kill or spare a character named Grayson.
For those having a hard time finding the exact location of every free vehicle in the game, check out the video below by YouTube creator HandsomeTez for some more detail!
Anyone who wants to drive away in a brand-new Porsche in Cyberpunk 2077 will need to let Grayson live by selecting the following dialogue option: "[Put weapon away] Got lucky today." Only by choosing mercy during the mission will you be rewarded with a free car, so make sure Grayson doesn't die in any way.
Claire's Truck: The Thornton Mackinaw Beast
One Of Several Monstrous Trucks
Much like the Porsche, obtaining this absolute unit requires players to make certain dialogue choices. During the "The Beast In Me" side-job that becomes available after the "Double Life" main mission, V will receive a call from Claire - a bartender from Afterlife - who will introduce them to Night City's underground racing scene.
Claire wants to take revenge on the city's top street racer, Sampson, for several reasons tied to her backstory. If you let Claire kill Sampson near the end of the mission, Claire will reward V with her unique truck. This vehicle lives up to its name, with an incredibly strong exterior that makes it perfect for dodging Night City's authorities as you try to get out of trouble.
The Quadra Type-66 "Cthulhu"
Skip The Market
Alternatively, if you choose to let Sampson live, he'll give V a call after the "The Beast In Me" mission is complete and offer them this blacked-out ride, free of charge. The Cthulhu would still be available for 76,000 eddies if you kill Sampson, but the Mackinaw Beast won't be since it's a unique vehicle.

Cyberpunk 2077 Player Discovers Useful Mechanic After 500+ Hours In The Game
A dedicated Cyberpunk 2077 player with 500+ hours in the game is stunned to discover a mechanic that would have made their life much easier.
So, those looking to collect every unique vehicle in the game should still choose to kill Sampson every time. That way, they can acquire the Mackinaw Beast from Claire and still buy the Cthulhu down the line with hard-earned money gained from completing other missions or side quests.
Easy Pickins': Thorton Colby Butte CX410 "Grand Butte"
Grab And Go
You can find this modded pick-up sitting in the middle of an abandoned movie set on the outskirts of Night City. The Desert Film Set area on your map hosts this car, near Rocky Ridge and Jeff's Dirt Track. Getting close enough to this area will trigger the "Dressed To Kill" side quest, which you can complete to earn the car for free.
Alternatively, all V needs to do is take the wheel, and this vehicle will be permanently stored in their garage. You typically see a green version of this car, but the one you get from the film set is a bright orange, differing greatly from the models you would only see on the market.
The Quadra Type-66 640 TS
Complete Every Gig From Dino
Throughout your adventures in Night City, you will likely be given Gigs, or side missions, as optional goals to complete. Finish all the side quests and gigs given by Dino Dinovic, then you will be able to start the special "Gas Gas Gas" quest. Completing this final mission for Dino will reward you with this car for free as a rare green variant of a typical Type-66 model vehicle.
The Archer Quartz "Bandit"
Loyalty Is Rewarded
Going through the "Ghost Town" mission without helping Panam impresses the NPC Rogue, who will give you a call and compliment you for staying loyal during the quest. This iration extends into a sleek and orange car that sports some of the fastest speeds of any vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077.
The Archer Quartz "Bandit" is a part of a free DLC added to the game as of the 1.3 patch. This free vehicle can be purchased on sale even if you help Panam if you establish a relationship with Badlands Fixer Datoka Smith.
