In the new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, rivals Murdock and Fisk are shown meeting at a diner. Both recognize the others' recent accomplishments and also confirm that they hadn't crossed paths in some time. The trailer then kicks into high-gear with the reveal that new threats are coming to New York City alongside some pretty major status quo changes and some pretty intense action sequences. To that end, here are 15 of the biggest reveals we found in the new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again.

15 Wilson Fisk Is Mayor of New York City

A Major Status Quo Change

The trailer confirms that Wilson Fisk has indeed become the mayor-elect of New York City, as was teased at the end of Marvel's Echo. As such, Matt Murdock tells Fisk that he can't help but shake the feeling that the former Kingpin is somehow "gaming the system". This is more than likely true, as many have theorized that Mayor Fisk will attempt to outlaw all vigilantes in New York for his own benefit and criminal enterprises.

14 Matt Murdock Has Retired As Daredevil

"A Line Was Crossed"

Fisk questions why Murdock stopped being a vigilante. Murdock confirms "a line was crossed" as a shot reveals his mask dropping from a rooftop where multiple emergency vehicles can be seen below. It's important to note that Josie's diner can be seen below, the bar Matt Murdock and his friend frequented in the original Daredevil series on Netflix. As a result, it seems as though Daredevil has been retired for quite some time before the start of this new series.

13 Karen Page and Foggy Nelson Return

Matt Murdock's Friends and Partners

Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page return alongside Cox's Daredevil in the new trailer, Matt Murdock's closest friends and partners from the original Netflix series. Prior to the show being reworked and largely reshot, Henson and Woll were not part of the show's cast. As such, it's very exciting to see them with Cox's Matt Murdock again.

12 When Daredevil: Born Again Takes Place on the MCU Timeline

It Looks Like 2026

Daredevil: Born Again features shots of Times Square at New Year's. Seeing as how Hawkeye took place at Christmas in 2024 and Echo took place in 2025, it stands to reason that Fisk was elected in November 2025 and that the present-day of Daredevil: Born Again will largely be set in 2026. That said, it does seem as though the new MCU series will feature some time jumps, if only to explain more of the events that transpired between Netflix's Daredevil season 3 and Daredevil: Born Again.

11 Bullseye Returns

(And He's Walking)

Wilson Bethel's Benjamin Poindexter aka Bullseye returns in the new Daredevil: Born Again trailer as well. He's also shown walking, which is a big deal considering Bullseye was left paralyzed by Fisk at the end of Daredevil season 3, and the series ended with a final scene of Bullseye undergoing experimental spinal surgery by one Doctor Oyama. In the comics, Bullseye had a similar experimental operation by Oyama involving adamantium. As such, the same could also be true in the MCU, considering adamantium will make its debut in Captain America: Brave New World which releases only a couple weeks before Daredevil: Born Again.

10 Daredevil Has A New Love Interest

Played by Margarita Levieva

While currently unnamed, it looks as though Matt Murdock has a new love interest played by Margarita Levieva. Levieva recently played Mother Koril in the Star Wars series The Acolyte. As far as who she might be playing in Daredevil: Born Again, it's possible she could be playing classic Daredevil love-interests from the comics such as Kirsten McDuffie, though there have been some rumors that she'll be playing Heather Glenn.

9 Muse Emerges As A Major New York Threat

A Dark Villain From The Comics

New York looks to be under attack by Muse, a street artist/serial killer who paints using his victims' blood. A truly dark villain in the Daredevil comics, Muse's killing spree has connections to both Frank Castle's Punisher and Wilson Fisk's term as mayor. As such, it will be very exciting to see how the MCU adapts Muse and his history on the page for the screen.

8 Vanessa and Fisk Are Reunited

(And Still Married)

Ayelet Zurer returns as Vanessa Fisk, the former Kingpin's wife who married him at the end of Daredevil season 3. Seeing how their wedding was interrupted by Daredevil and Fisk's arrest, it will be fascinating to see how the couple was able to reunite. Likewise, the painting that first brought them together in Daredevil season 1 is shown in the background, including the blood stains from when Daredevil stopped himself from nearly beating Fisk to death at the end of Daredevil season 3.

7 Frank Castle's Punisher Returns

(Is He Friend or Foe?)

Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle aka Punisher is shown in the trailer, seen holding a hatchet and threatening Matt Mudock. At the moment, it's unclear if The Punisher and Daredevil will be friends or enemies in this new series, though they did end up briefly as allies the last time they saw each other at the end of Daredevil season 2. Bernthal's return is very exciting, and it's recently been teased that The Punisher may have a future in the MCU beyond Daredevil: Born Again.

6 First Look At The MCU's White Tiger

Hector Ayala

The new Daredevil: Born Again provides a first look as White Tiger in the MCU. Real name Hector Ayala, White Tiger is another New York-based vigilante who will seemingly get wrapped up in the new chaos that's coming to New York City, the same chaos that will seemingly get Matt Murdock to on his iconic mask once more. Hector is also only the first White Tiger in Marvel Comics, as his sister Ava eventually takes on the mantle as well.
