Day Shift is a vampire action comedy movie that brings vampires to Los Angeles, and it stars some familiar faces. Although cinemas all over the world are open and working as usual again, streaming platforms continue to be a popular source of entertainment for many, and in Netflix’s case, it adds new original content almost every day, for all ages and tastes, and adding to those original titles is a vampire movie titled Day Shift.
Directed by J.J. Perry in his directorial debut, Day Shift tells the story of a hard-working blue-collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter, but his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is actually a front for his real source of income: hunting and killing vampires as part of an international Union of vampire hunters.

Dave Franco plays Seth, an always-nervous desk jockey assigned to look after Bud during his probationary phase with the union. Seth is expected to report every minor infraction he sees, but his perspective on the rules changes once he gets a taste of the danger and chaos of fieldwork. Dave Franco is best known for playing 6 Underground.
Snoop Dogg as Big John Elliott
Snoop Dogg plays Big John Elliott, a long-time friend of Bud who is also a legendary vampire hunter. Big John Elliott vouches for Bud to get him back into the union, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to miss the fun, and he s him for some spectacular vampire extermination when Bud needs him. Snoop Dogg is best known for his career as a rapper, but he has also appeared in a number of movies and TV shows either as himself or playing a character, and among those are Starsky & Hutch, Scary Movie 5, Crank Yankers, and The Boondocks.

Karla Souza as Audrey: an “uber” vampire who invented a sunscreen so that vampires can have some daytime activities, and she has dangerous plans that only benefit her fellow vampires. Karla Souza played Annie in the 2019 remake of Jacob’s Ladder and Laurel in How to Get Away with Murder.
Meagan Good as Jocelyn Jablonski: Bud’s ex-wife who plans on moving to Florida with their daughter, Paige. Meagan Good played Shelley in One Missed Call, Super Hero Darla in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and Camille in Harlem.
Scott Adkins and Steve Howey as the Nazarian brothers: two vampire hunting legends who are stronger than they are smart. Scott Adkins played Yuri Boyka in Undisputed II, III, and Boyka: Undisputed, and Hector in The Expendables 2. Steve Howey played Felix in Stuber, Van Montgomery in Reba, and Kevin Ball in Shameless.
