Beloved detective dog in creepy ghost mysteries, has been the subject of many video games over the years, though it’s been a while since he’s last graced a triple-A console release.

Indeed, Scooby’s last video game appearance (aside from the occasional mobile game movie tie-in) was in Lego Dimensions back in 2015, where he and his best friend Shaggy Rodgers were collectible minifigures that players could attach to a portal to unlock their characters in-game. More recently, Shaggy himself was the subject of an Mortal Kombat 11 as a guest fighter, playing off of a popular internet meme depicting the lovable-yet-cowardly goofball as an unstoppable super-being on par with Dragon Ball Z’s Son Goku. Now Mystery Inc. is the subject of another video game request, and this one might be more in line with the Scooby-Doo franchise.

According to Svg.com, the Dead By Daylight Twitter recently released a survey players could use to submit for the popular online survival horror title. One of the questions asked was which kind of crossover appearances fans would like to see next – and one of the more popular choices was Scooby-Doo. Other options included classic horror films like Carrie and Candyman, as well as anime like Death Note and other video games such as Dead Space and Alan Wake.

Since its first release on Microsoft Windows back in 2016, Dead By Daylight has built itself into a massive crossover of horror films, TV, and video games that features guest appearances from famous monsters of “All-Kill” DLC chapter.

The idea of Scooby-Doo and his famous band of teen detectives ing the ever-growing Dead By Daylight roster is still just a thought at this point, but there’s no denying that Mystery Inc and their iconic mascot would fit in the game nicely. If nothing else, it would be a fun novelty to see the cartoon pooch face off against (or, more likely, run away from) famous horror villains like Silent Hill's Pyramid Head. Here’s hoping Shaggy still has his memetic power on hand if the gang does appear in Dead By Daylight.
