WARNING: SPOILERS ahead for Dexter: Original Sin episode 6.
Dexter: Original Sin episode 4, a new serial killer is at large and has kidnapped Captain Aaron Spencer's son. Meanwhile, Dexter is quickly doing his part in cleaning up the streets of Miami after taking out Nurse Mary and Tony Ferrer and chasing ex-hitman Mad-Dog to his death.
While Dexter is rapidly maturing at his craft, the series still makes time to capture his youthful spirit, especially during scenes with Deb and his new girlfriend, Sofia. He goes on his first double date as his friendship with Deb grows stronger after last week's pot brownie fiasco. Harry's relationship with Dexter also takes an interesting turn after episode 5, which sees Dexter as more of an instrument for Harry than ever before.

Dexter: Original Sin episode 6 blends these various storylines well while also expanding Harry Morgan's past and present timelines. Dexter places a bulls-eye on Levi Reed, who walks free after Harry botches his murder trial. Additionally, Ferrer's arm is found by police while The Ice Truck Killer Brian Moser makes his presence known.
The Return Of The Ice Truck Killer Is An Incredible Original Sin Development
It's One Of The Most Exciting & Unexpected Inclusions In The Series
The return of Dexter's biological brother, Brian Moser, was initially teased in episode 2. A young man who looks very much like The Ice Truck Killer approaches Dexter at a restaurant during his first Miami Metro lunch break but nothing comes of it. In episode 6, Dexter is in pursuit of Levi Reed when Brian's iconic freezer truck honks at him, revealing the mysterious episode 2 character is, in fact, Brian.
Dexter: Original Sin episode 6 is the most effortlessly compelling entry in the series so far thanks to its exceptional, classic Dexter storytelling approach.
While several characters were expected to appear in the Dexter prequel series, Brian is certainly a pleasant surprise. Remarkably, this revelation only takes up mere seconds of episode 6's runtime. This goes to show just how rich and multilayered the world of Original Sin has become in just six episodes, resulting in its most action-packed and tension-fueled episode yet.
Any one of the various storylines could be the main focus of the series at this juncture, from Spencer's missing kid, Harry's backstory with Laura, Deb's newfound romance with Gio, and Dexter's piercing focus on taking out Levi Reed. Dexter: Original Sin episode 6 is the most effortlessly compelling entry in the series so far thanks to its exceptional and classic Dexter storytelling approach.
Dexter: Original Sin Masterfully Balances Its Multiple Interwoven Storylines
It's Becoming One Of The Strongest Seasons Of Dexter, Period
Dexter: Original Sin episode 1 may have felt overstuffed but episode 6 proves why it was necessary to include so much introductory information in the beginning. Harry's flashbacks have become one of the most compelling aspects of the entire series as each episode finds clever and seamless ways to transition into his relevant backstory. Gibson has truly mastered Dexter's aura with the aid of Michael C. Hall's inner voice, creating a duo that is just as engaging as watching Dexter in the original series.
Even though there are multiple moving parts by the end of episode 6, Dexter: Original Sin avoids overwhelming itself and the audience.
Once Dexter figures out what to do with Levi Reed's body in episode 7, "The Big Bad Body Problem," he'll have to handle avoiding suspicion now that Ferrer's arm has been discovered. Laura Moser's flashbacks may soon be coming to an end, which could reveal why Harry didn't adopt Brian along with Dexter or if he even had the chance to.
Even though there are multiple moving parts by the end of episode 6, Original Sin avoids overwhelming itself, and us, with leads it won't be able to pay off by season 1's finale. This creates an impressive sense of suspense even though a lot is already known about Dexter's backstory.

Dexter Review: An Addictive & Masterful Thriller Series That Flatlines In Its Later Seasons
The Dexter original series had the potential to be an all-time great series but fumbled in its latter half, which arguably should not have been made.
All the ing characters in Original Sin, old and new, have such strong performances and add a great sense of authenticity to the series. Christina Milian's Maria LaGuerta continues to do her character justice, while Deb's one-liners are straight out of the original series' handbook.
Even the underutilized Masuka and Batista hold true when they do come around while making space for new characters such as Spencer, Tanya, and Clark Sanders. Dexter: Original Sin episode 6 proves that the series has found a natural stride and is arguably the best yet.
