Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally bringing the fall update that fans have been wanting, in the form of floating islands and a brand new location called Storybook Vale. The popular cozy life sim lets players live out their best Disney fantasies, hang out with their favorite characters, and design and decorate their Valleys.
The newest Showcase Stream on the Disney Dreamlight Valley YouTube shared a huge amount of content and news. Among these was a reveal of the brand new Storybook Vale, a magical land made up of floating islands and familiar faces. Part 1 of Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale arrives on November 20.
The magic and colors of fall are also finally coming to the Valley with the arrival of Storybook Vale in Dreamlight Valley. The update brings fall foliage, pumpkin decorations, and other autumn aesthetics that players have been clamoring for since the season began.
Storybook Vale Brings Fall To Disney Dreamlight Valley
It Also Introduces Floating Islands
In early October, Disney Dreamlight Valley revealed its next theme and Star Path, and neither was what fans were expecting. The title is full of cozy gamers, and Fall is one of the community's favorite times of the year thanks to its cozy and comfortable vibes. Instead of giving the players the fall update they wanted, Dreamlight Valley instead revealed a jungle theme and a festival Star Path.

Which Disney Dreamlight Valley feature has completely improved your gameplay?
I tend to keep up with every developer update that Disney Dreamlight Valley puts out, and I love it when I end up using a feature that I didn't expect to be helpful. I was over the moon about being able to leave my house from any floor rather than going back downstairs constantly. When this was added, I had just moved my storage chests from the Plaza to the third floor of my home, and I spent two weeks getting annoyed with having to keep getting on and off the lift.
Many fans were disappointed by the lack of Fall updates but now it looks like Disney was hiding the real Fall update in the November update. The visuals for Storybook Vale are full of reds and yellows of autumn, and a glimpse of the new location shows many fall-themed decorations. In addition to Storybook Vale, the stream also revealed the addition of new floating islands, and parallel worlds which will give players a clean slate to create and design, with the option to choose biomes, allowing fans to keep Fall in their Valleys all year round.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: Storybook Vale Brings Some Beloved Characters To The Valley
Welcome Characters From Rapunzel, Hercules, And Brave
In addition to bringing Fall to Dreamlight Valley, the new update also heralds the arrival of several beloved Disney characters who have been conspicuously absent from the roster of villagers. When the first part is released on November 20, it will bring with it Flynn Rider from Rapunzel, Merida from Brave, and Hades from Hercules.
The floating islands also introduce a new mechanic and tool, a net that lets players catch cute papercraft critters that will help them rebuild the magic of the Vale. The update is only the first part of the Storybook Vale saga, with more characters and content hinted to be coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley soon.
