Now that Simba and Nala have officially arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, they've got plenty of quests they need assistance with. Simba, in particular, wants to make the Valley feel slightly more peaceful. He's taking inspiration from his pals, Timon and Pumba, who instilled in him the meaning of Hakuna Matata, meaning no worries, but needs help accomplishing his task.

To start the Hakuna Matata quest, Simba must first be brought into the Valley. To do this, players will first need to Welcome Nala to Disney Dreamlight Valley, who can be found in The Lion King realm. After Nala has been welcomed, there will be another quest specific to Simba, also in The Lion King realm, that will bring him to the Valley once completed.

How To Start The Hakuna Matata Quest

Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once Simba is in the Valley, simply speaking with him until he reaches Level 2 of friendship will unlock this quest. One conversation alone will not be enough, so if players want to speed it along, they can use other methods of raising Friendships in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The first option is gift-giving. Each character has select gifts they prefer, which players can see by simply attempting to give a gift. When doing so, underneath their name will be three items or meals they would like to receive. Give each of these special gifts for a maximum boost, but even just one will provide a significant amount.

These special gifts reset daily, and only those three items will generate, even once all have been given. Additionally, each item can only receive the boost the first time they are given. So more than one of that same item will not have the additional boost added on. Secondly, players can normally ask characters to follow them around and bond with them through completing tasks, but this won't apply to Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley in this case because that is not an option till Level 2, which is when this quest unlocks anyway. Once Simba is at Friendship Level 2, speak with him to receive the quest.

How To Put Together A Relaxing Outfit

Player talking to Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley

When initially speaking with Simba to start the quest, he will inform that he feels all the villagers in Disney Dreamlight Valley are too stressed out. He believes they need to relax and embrace the idea of "Hakuna Matata," which he learned from his friends, Timon and Pumba. Simba thinks the first thing to be addressed should be the player's outfit. Though stylish, it seems uncomfortable and different from the vibe Simba wants. Therefore, he wants it changed to something that's way more relaxing. This will be the first objective of the Hakuna Matata quest.

To get into a more relaxing outfit, open up the wardrobe. After doing so, there should be an option with Simba's face on it. This is where all the options will be found. However, almost anything works as long as it's a casual outfit. After equipping everything he requests, return and speak with him again; at this point, he will provide the next objective. In most cases, unless players are dressed in elaborate and extravagant, they will already be wearing exactly what Simba is looking for. If this happens, the change outfit objective will pretty much immediately disappear without opening the wardrobe, and it will automatically just prompt players to return to Simba.

Add Landscape & Seating To The Peaceful Meadow

Simba's requests in the Furniture tab on Disney DV

After speaking with Simba again, he'll note that the outfit looks great, but it's not enough to bring peace to the Valley. He will reminisce about some of his memories with Timon and Pumba. Specifically when they would hang out in the Oasis, lounging and enjoying the lush greenery. He believes Disney Dreamlight Valley needs a little of that to help some of the Villagers be less cranky. Therefore, the next task is to use that inspiration to make Peaceful Meadow more peaceful. Specifically, Simba would like three seating items and five landscape items added to the Peaceful Meadow.

Players can now head to the Peaceful Meadow or stay exactly where they are for convenience, as they will need to immediately talk to Simba again once done and open up the Furniture tab in their Disney Dreamlight Valley inventory. Once it is opened, there will be two more indicators at the top of the screen with Simba's face on them. These seating and landscape items can be applied to this objective in the Hakuna Matata quest. Place the required amounts from each tab and then return to Simba. He will be delighted with the changes but needs one last thing to complete it.

Add A Relaxing Oasis To The Peaceful Meadow

Placing the Relaxing Oasis in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The final part of this quest is the most tedious. Simba wants a place to cool off. He notes he's tried using the ponds around the Valley, but others complained he was scaring the fish, so he would like a pool put in specifically for this purpose. He will instruct players to speak with Scrooge about ordering one. With that information, head to Scrooge to ask about the pool. Scrooge is always in his shop, so he should be easy to track down. Ask him about the pool for Simba, and he will be willing to oblige for a decent chunk of money in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The Relaxing Oasis pool for Simba will cost a hefty 9,000 Star Coins to order.

However, Scrooge has a second option. Rather than pay him the steep price of 9,000 Star Coins, players can exchange gems instead. Specifically, he would like

  • 2x Shiny Aquamarine
  • 2x Shiny Peridot
  • 3x Topaz
  • 5x Peridot
  • 5x Garnet

All of these gems can be found by mining in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Though it may seem like a lot, if players are willing to put in the time, this will technically save them money. Adding up all these gems to sell would only give players a total of 6,120 Star Coins, which means that 2,880 Star Coins could be saved at the cost of putting in some extra work. However, money is easier to come by than gems usually, so while it saves money in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players will have to decide whether it's worth it or if they should save their gems for quests down the line that will require them.

Regardless of which option players go with, once 9,000 Star Coins have been acquired or all of the gems have been mined, purchase the Relaxing Oasis from Scrooge. Once acquired, place it in the Peaceful Meadow and speak with Simba one last time. He will be very grateful, and at last, players will have completed the Hakuna Matata quest and brought a little more peace and relaxation to Disney Dreamlight Valley.
