Although wings are not a new feature in Disney Dreamlight Valley, they do have a new use as part of the game's most recent update, including using them to fly. Previously, wings served no other purpose than being a back accessory for players to style their outfits, but now they have a function beyond a fluttering animation.

Unfortunately, using wings to get around the valley means you will have to have them equipped. Unlike the gliders, which only appear when actively being used, wings are present even when not in use, and if you take them off, they will no longer serve as your means of flying, and the game will default back to your glider.

How To Get Wings In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlock Them Via The Store, Quests, Or Events

Player selecting the Thorny Wings in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Since wings have been around in Disney Dreamlight Valley from the beginning of the game, the odds are that you've acquired at least one pair by now, even unintentionally. However, if you find yourself without any, there are a couple of ways to acquire them, but unfortunately, they're not very simple. As of now, wings are not one of the items that appear in Scrooge McDuck's store, so you won't be able to wait for them to appear and purchase them with star coins.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: All Night Show Star Path Duties & How To Complete Them

If you want to get the most out of the Night Show Star Path in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will want to know how to complete every task.

Rather, the only ways you'll be able to get them are by leveling up, completing quests, purchasing them from the shop, or completing a star path event. Currently, only a few quests offer wings as a reward, including Merlin's "The Dark Castle" and Buzz's "Space Ranger Recruit," which will give you the Cardboard Wings and the Space Ranger Wings.

Everything You Can Buy In Disney Dreamlight Valley's New Shop

Dreamlight Valley's Shop was updated on October 16 and there are some new items up for grabs, including an outfit, a house, and tool styles.

Unfortunately, both of these are pretty mediocre in comparison to the majority of other options available, but leveling up your player to level 22 will reward the Sparkly Wings, and level 38 will provide the Thorny Wings, which are both decent options. As for the more desirable, character-reminiscent wings, like those resembling Maleficent or Tinker Bell, you will need to put in the time to earn some Moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Since Moonstones are hard to come by in-game, it may be worth waiting until you see the pair of wings you want in the Shop rather than purchasing the first pair you see. Plus, the Shop often runs sales too.

The Shop rotates its inventory frequently, so you may need to keep checking in if you don't see what you're looking for. Furthermore, with the new preference-driven focus in the Shop update, there is a chance you may not see any at all if the game believes they won't appeal to you. If you do see them, they're likely to cost you a few thousand Moonstones, so if you don't have enough, you'll either need to wait to accrue some or spend some real money to purchase more.

Even if the current Star Path doesn't offer Wings of any kind as a reward, it's still worth participating in since these also reward Moonstones, which you can then just use in the Shop.

As for the last method, the Star Path is an event that typically runs for a month in the game and offers players the chance at rewards for completing event-specific duties. Often, the rewards for these events include furniture, motifs, character outfits, and clothing items. Not every Star Path offers wings, but many do, so it's something to keep your eye on, as this is an excellent way to obtain some without having to spend any real money.

How To Use Wings To Fly Effectively In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Equip Wings As Your Glider

Flying in Disney Dreamlight Valley is relatively simple, thankfully. If you've been utilizing the Glider at all, which I highly recommend, then you know that it is a quick way to reach other areas of the valley. While fast traveling is available, it's not always the most effective way of getting around, and gliding allows you to check on your valley while completing tasks.

New Disney Dreamlight Valley Feature Is A Complete Game-Changer

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s most recent update, the Jungle Update, adds plenty of new and exciting features, but one is a total game-changer.

However, gliding and now flying are not always readily available to players. To use either of these means of travel, you must first have a Well Fed stamina bar. The Well Fed stamina bar is when your typically blue stamina bar turns a sparkling yellow color, acting as a technical second bar. When in this state, you can use your extra energy to glide or fly around the valley.

How To Unlock Tiana's Palace & Meal Stall In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Tiana has arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley with her restaurant, Tiana's Palace, and a brand new Meal Stall, but she needs help opening up.

To cause this stamina bar to appear, you can't just eat veggies you've farmed in the valley, nor will your house refill this bar. The Well Fed bar will only appear if you've eaten a prepared dish. It doesn't need to be anything fancy; it just has to be something that was prepared at a cooking station. Though this is tedious, it's not hard to do, and with the addition of Tiana's Meal Stall in the valley, you have a place where you can purchase fully prepared meals.

Once your Well Fed bar disappears and you're back to your blue bar, you cannot fly. Despite still having energy, you must have a sparkling yellow bar to fly or Glide, and it will drain energy when used.

Once your Well Fed stamina bar is there, simply open your inventory and go to the Gliders category. You will see all of your Glider options as well as your wings. Select the ones you want to equip and use, then exit the inventory. Now press the button on the bottom left of your screen while moving, and your character will begin to fly around Disney Dreamlight Valley.
