Disney Dreamlight Valley has done it again. While the Star Path keeps adding new items inspired by Disney films, it also overlooks certain players. The latest Aladdin-themed Star Path proves this problem in that Gameloft tends to focus primarily on traditionally feminine clothing and accessories. This issue isn't new in the Dreamlight Valley community. Although the game appeals to a wide audience, it often prioritizes feminine styles, leaving those who prefer masculine clothing with few options.

The imbalance of feminine vs. masculine clothing is especially disappointing because Aladdin was a rare Disney film centered around a male protagonist. Despite its potential, the Star Path fails to offer a range of outfits inspired by Aladdin and the male figures from the movie. The game's developers might be deg based on assumed player preferences, but that still leaves many players out.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Paths Need More Masculine Clothing

Aladdin-Inspired Star Path Was A Huge Disappointment

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Star Paths are known to dish out female-inspired clothing and accessories. Many Disney films focus on princesses, so it makes sense that the Star Path would be flooded with signature looks from these female heroines.

However, it also makes sense that when a character from a movie like Aladdin is featured in the Valley in the long-awaited Tales of Agrabah update, the Star Path should do its due diligence in offering male-inspired outfits and accessories. A Disney movie rarely features a strong male lead, so Aladdin popping up in Disney Dreamlight Valley should have had Gameloft prioritizing masculine outfits and accessories this time around.

The Aladdin Star Path, introduced with the latest update, Tales of Agrabah, should have been an easy win for better balance. The film's setting alone could be used for inspiration for masculine clothing options, from street-rat wear to fancy and dramatic robes. Vests, harem pants, curled-toe shoes, or Prince Ali-inspired accessories could have easily appeared in the Star Path. Yet, most of the fashion choices once again cater to feminine players; all missed opportunities for Gameloft to offer more inclusivity in their Star Path offerings.

Don't forget, Star Paths are temporary! So, if you're interested in the Aladdin-inspired Oasis Star Path, make sure you plan ahead and get the rewards asap.

Of course, players who enjoy feminine styles should have plenty of options available to them, but there should also be consideration for those who want to dress their characters in traditionally masculine or gender-neutral attire. Dreamlight Valley has a diverse audience, and its customization options should reflect that. It’s an ongoing issue that, despite repeated , has yet to be properly addressed.

Customization is one of the highlights of Disney Dreamlight Valley, and is one of my favorite parts, being able to dress my character and make her look however I want, with fun hair colors and stylish outfits. I consider myself lucky since I do like feminine attire. Yet, there are times when even I would prefer something more neutral or even masculine and find barely any options. With clothing and accessory options disproportionately tailored to one side, it limits the freedom of expression for a large chunk of players who want to customize and style their character to fit personal preferences.

How To Unlock & Use The Dreamlight Magic Carpet Glider in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Now that Aladdin has arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, he's bringing with him a brand new companion, Magic Carpet, & the chance to make your own.

Obviously, Disney's branding leans heavily on princesses, their stories, and their iconic dresses, but that doesn't mean other styles should be neglected. The community has players of all genders who want more clothing options. Some prefer a neutral look, while others want outfits that match their style. Still, the Star Paths almost always focus on traditionally feminine fashion.

While Star Paths often lack male-inspired clothing, the characters, such as Aladdin, will reward players with clothes for building up friendship levels.

The lack of masculine options is frustrating, especially considering Aladdin’s legacy. Unlike many Disney films that focused on princesses, the movie stands out because it has a well-developed male lead. Aladdin wasn’t just part of a love story – he was the main character, so it feels unfair that his Star Path mainly features feminine items.

A more balanced Star Path would make Dreamlight Valley more inclusive and fun for everyone. No one wants to remove feminine items. Players just want a fair mix so everyone has something to enjoy.

How Disney Dreamlight Valley Could Diversify Star Paths

Gameloft Needs To Do Better To Bring Diversity Into Disney Dreamlight Valley

If Gameloft wants Star Paths to feel rewarding for everyone, and not like they're ruining the game, it needs to rethink how it designs cosmetic rewards. A more balanced mix of masculine, feminine, and gender-neutral outfits would make events fairer. For example, an Aladdin-themed Star Path should include both Jasmine’s gown and Aladdin’s vest and pants, giving all players something to enjoy.

Accessories should also be more inclusive. Instead of leaning toward one style, Star Paths could offer a wider range of options. A Genie-inspired backpack, for instance, would be a simple but effective alternative to a handbag, making the reward more universal.

Disney films are set in rich, visually distinct worlds, and Star Paths could take inspiration from these settings. Pulling from historical and cultural clothing styles would ensure more variety while keeping outfits authentic and appealing to a broader audience.

The Dreamlight Valley community has also been vocal about wanting better representation in clothing options. Listening to player and making adjustments would show that Gameloft values its audience and is committed to creating a more inclusive experience.

Disney Dreamlight Valley has the potential to be one of the most immersive and engaging Disney games ever made, but the way it handles Star Path rewards still needs work. Expanding clothing options and making more effort to include all styles would not only make the game more enjoyable for current players but also attract a wider audience.
