The Toy Story franchise is Pixar's most beloved and one of the reasons for that is the wide array of characters that the franchise has. While some characters have been part of things from the very start and lasted all the way, others have jumped in and out of the franchise to keep the movies fresh and unique.

Every character has been given their individual personalities and that is a big part of why audiences connect to the movies.

Trixie: "I Have A Question. No, Wait. I Have All The Questions."

The Toy Story franchise survived a while with only one dinosaur, but the decision to add another in Trixie was a great call. Having a female dinosaur just brought something a little different to the franchise and making her fairly similar in personality to Rex was also a great decision.

Trixie is someone who brings a lot of energy and her constant questioning of every situation makes her so fun to watch. She's never settled and that energy just works really nicely within the franchise. She also one of the best characters because of her caring nature, always trying to help people.

Forky: "I'm Trash."

Forky might have only been brought into the franchise in Toy Story 4, but he added a lot of great comedy to the series. It showed the imagination of children to create toys out of anything, but the fact Forky wouldn't accept he was actually a toy was a really funny way of looking at things.

Forky constantly claiming he is trash was no doubt his best line throughout the movie as it brought great laughs whenever he said that. His inner conflict was a great joy and becoming the comedic relief was something the franchise did need.

Ken: "No One Appreciates Clothes Here."

Ken and Barbie are two of the most iconic toys of all time and the fact that Pixar was able to add them to this franchise was a major bonus. They both played up the stereotypes well and it led to a lot of funny moments taking place.

Ken might have started as part of the villainous group in the third movie, but he quickly switched out of that due to his loyalty to Barbie. He brought so many hilarious one-liners and his personality was just so much fun throughout.

Hamm: "All Right. Nobody Look Till I Get My Cork Back In.”

Hamm is a character that became very popular, and rightfully so. He is the king of one-liners, bringing lots of fantastic quotes throughout the franchise because of how content he is just saying things exactly as he thinks, being very blunt in his delivery.

That's part of his charm. He's quick to judge others, but he always ends up being proven wrong. The chosen quote is about himself though and it's certainly a lot of fun, as he almost acts as if he is naked without his cork being plugged in.

Slinky Dog: "I Knew You Were Right All Along, Woody."

The best trait that Slinky Dog has is loyalty. He is someone who doesn't give up on others, especially his friends and he does that through voicing his opinions and by throwing himself into danger to help. That's clear in each movie and his friendship with Woody, in particular, is one of the best things about the movies.

He's always around and that is why he's one of the best characters within this franchise. His commitment to people is what makes him, but he can also be very funny at times as well, which is something that all the best Toy Story characters tend to be.

Mr. Potato Head: "Ages Three And Up. It's On My Box. Ages Three And Up."

Alongside Hamm, Mr. Potato Head really is the grumpy man of the group who is more than happy to complain and point out any problems that he sees. He's a really funny character and even though he's quick to moan and groan, that doesn't mean he doesn't care about his friends.

Mr. Potato Head puts himself on the line plenty of times and he quickly became one of the most popular of the franchise. However, this quote really showcases the best of Mr. Potato Head, not being happy about the way he is played with when they arrive in daycare.

Rex: "Look At My Little Arms. I Can't Hit The Fire Button And Jump At The Same Time."

Rex in Toy Story

Rex is a character that just constantly seems to be in a state of panic and that is what makes him so hilarious. He's never relaxed or at ease, even when it's a small situation like playing video games, as this quote showcases with Rex losing his cool over not being able to hit all the buttons at the same time.

However, this quote is also hilarious because it plays upon a big flaw of a T-Rex, in that they have little arms. Rex is a constant joke about dinosaurs in fairness, as instead of being a scary monster, he is actually scared of everything, which makes him hilarious to watch.

Jessie: "We're Andy's Toys."

Jessie looking sad in Toy Story 2

Jessie adds so much energy and ion from her entry in the second film, and that's what makes her so loveable. She doesn't hold back and she really is just a bundle of joy, making her a lot of fun to see whenever she's on-screen and her growth from not wanting to be owned to caring about Andy and Bonnie is amazing.

This quote sums up that perfectly as she clearly shows the full circle journey. Her storyline romance with Buzz Lightyear is also a lot of fun as it adds a new dimension to her character. She isn't just a female version of Woody, which she could easily have been, instead, she certainly has a major personality of her own.

Buzz Lightyear: "I've Set My Laser From Stun, To Kill"

Buzz in Toy Story 4

While Buzz Lightyear goes on to accept his reality of being a toy and how this is who he is meant to be, his time being convinced that isn't the case is hilarious. He provides some of the funniest scenes in the franchise, with this quote being a great example of his disillusion.

Of course, Buzz is one of the best characters in the Toy Story world as he is the true action hero of the group. Happy to throw himself into anything, even if he doesn't really know what he is doing, his excitement and ion for things make him great and his caring side adds plenty of emotion as well.

Woody: "That Wasn't Flying, That's Falling, With Style."

Woody looks on in Toy Story

Woody is the hero of the Toy Story franchise and is undoubtedly the best character. He is pure and only has Andy or Bonnie's best interests at heart and while he can be petty and selfish, he is ultimately a great friend and someone who brings both incredible emotion and fantastic laughs to the franchise.

He provides amazing quotes in every film from hilarious one-liners or moments of real care and concern. However, it doesn't get any better than this quote from the original film as he shows his bitterness against Buzz after his epic stunt. While everyone else is in awe, Woody just refuses to it it was fantastic, pointing out the reality of the situation, which he often does.
