Dragon Ball Fans Will Decide The "Strongest" Character On Twitter
The idea is clearly inspired by the classic Tenkaichi Budokai tournaments that take place in the Dragon Ball universe. A video shared by the Dragon Ball Official on Twitter shows the moment of the draw, with the names extracted from the iconic Tenkaichi urn. The highlight of the entire event will clearly be Match 5 of the first round, which will see a clash between the two strongest fighters in the Dragon Ball universe: Mr. Satan vs "Farmer With a Power Level of 5". For those who don't , this powerful warrior made his first appearance in chapter #195, where he was the first Earthling to meet Raditz, and the first person to have their Power Level confirmed in the series.
While the Dragon Ball Twitter s this tournament as one that will decide "the strongest" character, this is obviously a popularity contest. A lot of powerful characters are missing, notably, everyone who was introduced from Battle of the Gods and Dragon Ball Super, such as Beerus, Broly, Moro, Jiren, or Granolah. It will be interesting to see if fans will simply vote for their favorite or if they will consider how the actual matchups would go. There are also some intriguing pairings: Gohan will finally get a rematch against Frieza, while Goku and Vegeta will meet long before the final, in their second match.
If there is one thing that fans of Dragon Ball love to do, is to debate characters' Power Levels and fantasy matches. While the Dragon Ball Secret Battle Hour is clearly another chance to do that, it will also be the first popularity poll since the one held by Viz Media for Dragon Ball Super in 2021, which was won by Vegeta. Fans will decide if the Prince of Saiyans will keep his crown in the Dragon Ball Secret Battle Hour tournament, or if someone else will snatch the title of champion.
