Ulrika is one of two romanceable options in Dragon's Dogma 2, a courageous leader with a ion for helping others. Compared to other romanceable options such as Wilhelmina, romancing Ulrika will require completing several more quests. Specifically, the Arisen will need to help fend off a dragon, defend against Saurian invasions, and usurp a henchman of the queen.

Like with Wilhelmina, you should increase Ulrika's affinity whenever possible by giving her gifts she likes. This will help her grow closer to you which may be necessary if her romance cutscene does not automatically trigger at the end of her quest. Additionally, you should only go to Battahl for Captain Brant if they have romanced Ulrika, as this will lock them out of her quest.

A Dragon's Dogma 2 player sets the game's community on fire by sharing their discovery on how to unlock secret locations in the open world.

How to Unlock Ulrika's Quest

Complete "Monster Culling"

Before starting Ulrika's questline, you must complete Captain Brant's story quest "Monster Culling." As shown by WoW Quests on YouTube, yhis quest notably takes players to Marve Village, an important location later in Ulrika's character arc in DD2. After the Arisen has taken care of the Saurian problem, a Beastren named Fyoran should approach the player as they exit town and ask for help dealing with another Saurian raid, starting the "Scaly Invaders" quest.

Complete "Scaly Invaders" (Optional)

The Arisen from Dragon's Dogma 2 fighting a Saurian in Harve Village alongside his Pawns.

Like in "Monster Culling," you must deal with a Saurian invasion with help from the townsfolk. However, the quest will pause and say to check back in a few days. At this point, the Arisen can now travel back to Melve and trigger the "Readvent of Calamity" quest when they are ready.

"Scaly Invaders" is not technically vital to triggering "Readvent of Calamity," but Ulrika can help with completing the second half of the quest later on if players do the first half early.

While you can complete other quests for Captain Brant for Gold and experience before Ulrika's questline, it is essential that you do not complete "Feast of Deception," as this will cause Melve to be razed by a dragon while the player is off in Battahl. Wilhelmina will also become unavailable to romance if the Arisen leaves for Battahl without completing her quest. It is recommended to complete two or three more Sovran quests for Captain Brant to buff up the Arisen, then head back to Melve.

You can also be locked out of romancing Ulrika if they complete the Harve Village questline without Ulrika present, as Harve Village is vital to completing her arc.

How To Romance Ulrika

Complete All Ulrika Quests

Start "Readvent of Calamity"

As shown in the video by fight the dragon by aiming at its red pustules around its legs and neck, which deal extra damage. After taking enough hits, the dragon eventually flees. A cutscene with Ulrika plays, and the player is instructed to return to Melve in a day or two.

After some time has ed in Dragon's Dogma 2, head to Ulrika's house in Melve to see her being accused of being a traitor by Martin. The following day, Ulrika will have left town to prevent further issues for the townsfolk, and Martin has appointed himself as the village's new leader. Lennart then asks the player to find Ulrika, who can be found in the same place that "Monster Culling" occurred, Harve Village.

If the dragon dies instead of fleeing, Martin will accuse Ulrika of lying about the dragon's death, saying none other than the Sovran could possibly kill a dragon.

Kill The Plagued Lesser Dragon & Speak to Sigurd (Optional)

Sigurd from Dragon's Dogma 2 talking to the Arisen outside Melve.

While not necessary for quest completion, you can also beat the lesser dragon in this encounter. Once the initial cutscene of the dragon attack plays, head up to a nearby watchtower and start loading its ballista. Aim for the dragon's heart in the middle of its chest and fire, ideally when it is grounded and less mobile.

It may take two or three ballista shots to kill it and possibly a few arrow shots at its bumps, but eventually, the dragon will collapse dead. When looting its body, there's a small chance of getting the powerful Duospear Dead Ringer.

After the dragon dies or flees, you can also talk to the hooded NPC Sigurd, who gives the excellent Mystic Spearhand vocation. If you defeat the dragon, he also gives the Paladins Enigmata scroll, which teaches the Wild Furie skill. If the dragon flees instead, the item can still be obtained if the player finds and kills the dragon later on.

Finish (Or Start) "Scaly Invaders"

You can assist Ulrika in fending off another Saurian invasion if the first part of "Scaly Invaders" is completed before revisiting Melve. Completing this final round of Saurians will complete the quest and net some nice rewards, and you can talk to Ulrika afterward. If "Scaly Invaders" was not done beforehand, the quest may activate upon entering Harve Village, but you must return a few days later to complete the second half.

Talk To Ulrika and Report Back to Lennart

Ulrika from Dragon's Dogma 2 talking to the Arisen in Harve Village.

Ulrika flees to Harve Village, where you can speak to her. She will refuse to return to Melve until she clears her name. She bids farewell to the Arisen, who must then travel back to Melve and inform Lennart of Ulrika's whereabouts. He thanks the player but expresses concerns about the queen's influence.

Complete "Trouble on the Cape"

Ulrika from Dragon's Dogma 2 talking to the Arisen in a damp cave.

After a few days have ed in-game or after completing a few quests for Captain Brant, return to Harve Village to see Ulrika arguing with Jonas, the village's leader. She will express anger at his refusal to send troops to rescue a villager in a nearby cavern and decide to head there herself. Players can follow her to Stormwind Cave and assist in clearing out Saurians from the cavern, thereby rescuing the villager.

Head back to town to receive thanks from the local villagers. Ulrika is dubbed the new chief of Harve Village for her bravery, which she accepts. However, to fully complete her questline, the Arisen must also deal with the situation in Melve.

Complete "Home Is Where the Hearth Is"

Lennart from Dragon's Dogma 2 talking to the Arisen in a cozy home.

When trying to enter Melve, a guard appointed by Martin will block entry unless he is given 5,000 Gold. After paying the bribe, head to Ulrika's house and talk to Lennart, who asks the player for four swords to arm the townspeople against Martin's guards.

These can be bought at the local blacksmith, but the cheaper option is to steal confiscated swords from a nearby storeroom. A guard protects this room, but the player can enlist the help of two brothers near the guard to distract him and steal the swords back.

After Lennart receives the swords, he leads a coup against Martin and his men. This fight can be challenging for under-level players, but the guards should automatically retreat after a minute or so of fighting. Players should stock up on good weaponry and health-replenishing items. Martin and his guards flee the town, Lennart thanks the player, and Ulrika is informed of the good news in Melve.

Visit Ulrika At The Pier

Speak to Ulrika at a dock in Harve Village and relay the news from Melve. She thanks the Arisen and asks to meet with them at the same place later that night. Return to the pier at night to trigger a romantic cutscene with Ulrika, finally completing one of the lengthier side quest chains in Dragon's Dogma 2.
