Talismans in Elden Ring are integral to boosting your abilities in combat by enhancing both your offensive and defensive capabilities, among other attributes. One such Talisman that proves incredibly useful for shield-bearers is the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman. This Talisman truly excels in protecting players by reducing physical damage intake, which can be a saving grace in challenging boss fights, especially in the late segment of the game.
However, these accessories are as hard to find as they are powerful, making locating them challenging. But by following a set of directions and from the correct Sites of Grace when progressing through your Elden Ring playthrough, obtaining these Talismans shouldn't be too difficult, and it will be a worthwhile venture for the protection it provides, which will especially be helpful during your time playing Shadow of the Erdtree.

Dragoncrest Shield Talisman Features & Stats
Reduces Physical Damage Taken
The Dragoncrest Shield Talisman is an accessory in Elden Ring that, when worn, reduces damage taken from physical attacks by 10%. This Talisman also has +1 and +2 variants, increasing the physical damage negation by 13% and 17%, respectively.
However, Tarnished challengers should bear in mind that these percentages only apply to PvE situations. When used in PvP, the effectiveness of the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman in Elden Ring and its upgraded versions diminishes considerably, reducing physical damage by 2%, 3%, and 4%.
All Dragoncrest Shield Talismans In Elden Ring
All Locations
Each of the Dragoncrest Shield Talismans in Elden Ring is hidden in difficult areas that are hard to find and dangerous to navigate. Moreover, none are in close vicinity to one another, with a couple only obtainable in the late-game. The list below details each location and the nearest Sites of Grace for convenient travel.
Unfortunately, only the base talisman can be accessed earlier via a shortcut, as demonstrated by madowy's guided walkthrough on YouTube, while the remaining two can only be acquired by progressing the main quest, thereby unlocking certain regions in Elden Ring.

The base Dragoncrest Shield Talisman can be found by the Cinquedea Dagger in Elden Ring.
Players can get to this area in Caelid by utilizing a Waygate behind the Third Church of Marika in Limgrave. This will instantly teleport players to the 'Bestial Sanctum' Site of Grace. Adventurers must head to the structure's western side from the sanctum entrance. Next, they must carefully leap onto the jutting roots below to get to the spire-like building's pillars.
Before attempting this platforming challenge, it is recommended that players use Soft Cotton to ease their landings and reduce fall damage.
Once they've reached the lowest level, they can make their way towards the northeastern side. Here, players will find the Talisman in Elden Ring.

To reach Sainted Hero's Grave, Tarnished travelers can exit the Capital's outer walls from the 'Outer Wall Battleground' Site of Grace. Next, they can go west down the Rampartside Path and ascend the plateau above the Altus Tunnel.
Be mindful of the Black Knife Assassin that guards the entrance to the catacombs. Once inside, Tarnished adventurers must reach the first corridor of falling blade traps.
They will notice an entryway to the second level above as they go down the stairwell towards the first trap. Wait for the blade to come down and stand atop it to ride to the next floor. After going up the stairway, players will encounter a small covered chamber locked with an Imp Statue Seal. Use a single Stonesword Key in Elden Ring to dispel the barrier and check the front right corner to find the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman +1.

The third and final Dragoncrest Shield Talisman variant in Elden Ring is in the Lands Between's end-game area, Crumbling Farum Azula. The only way to reach this segment of the game is to beat the Fire Giant boss in Mountaintops of the Giants.
Afterward, rest at the 'Forge of the Giants' Site of Grace to speak to Melina, triggering a cutscene where she burns the Erdtree. Following this, you will be transported to the end of a bridge at the edge of the Farum Azula dungeon.
When you first arrive in this formidable location, Tarnished must beat the Godskin Duo in Elden Ring to reach the 'Dragon Temple Altar' Site of Grace. From here, they must head down the pathway leading to Maliketh's lair and take the lift back down, heading east down the spiral staircase.
Around halfway down the steps, you'll find some broken railings. Jump off the edge, being mindful of the precarious terrain, to land in a section with floating pieces of debris. Upon reaching the lowest platform, turn around to find another small platform below, where players can find the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman +2 on a corpse, sitting on a secluded chunk of rubble beneath the main walkway.
For those using a tanky build in Elden Ring, the Dragoncrest Greatshield legendary Talisman reduces Physical Damage taken by 20%. While it cannot be equipped with any standard Dragoncrest Shield Talismans, it's a more powerful alternative. Players can obtain it from Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, near the 'Haligtree Roots' Site of Grace.
