Like many other Souls games before it, Elden Ring Nightreign doesn't give you a ton of information on its various systems. After loading into the hub area, you'll easily locate the Small Jar Bazaar (the core in-game shop), but it's tough to figure out which items are "worth it." What's worth it can also constantly shift as often as the map, as a lot of the early game relics are quickly sured after a few successful clears.

The Small Jar Bazaar's location won't change throughout your journey, but the stock it offers will increase as you defeat more end-of-run Nightlord bosses. Initially, the bazaar only provides lower-impact relics and emotes, but it will expand quite a bit over time, and it can be overwhelming to discern what's worth your hard-earned Murk.

Inside a run of Elden Ring Nightreign, items and levels are purchased for runes. Once you've ended a run (win or lose), you'll acquire Murk, a currency that's used in the hub area for costumes and bazaar purchases. This is a static currency that accumulates over time and is required to purchase anything persistent across future runs. Here are the main categories of items the bazaar offers:

• Relics (including a Diablo-style gambling relic mechanic)
• Emotes (Gestures)

You can sell all the relics you don't need for some spare Murk, but you should keep anything that deals with elemental affinities, as these are incredibly important for making future boss runs easier.

In the mid-game, you'll want to focus on differentiating your loadouts with Goblets that are available for purchase after defeating Nightlords. Goblets will provide you with entirely new relic coloring loadouts, allowing players to equip different relics into each slot for every Nightfarer: for a one-time fee of 1200 Murk per character. Try to pick a few Nightfarers to focus on first, and only buy the Goblets as you need them.

Spend Your Cash On Costumes Or Gamble On Scenic Flatstones

Although they aren't sold at the Small Jar Bazaar, costumes are a costly Murk sink for those of you who want to partake in them. By default, two types of costumes (dawn and darkness) will be unlocked after two bosses are cleared, and they're expensive, clocking in at 14000 Murk and 35000 Murk for dawn and darkness outfits, respectively. You can change into them at the "change garb" section of the Roundtable Hold hub after meeting the requirements to unlock them.

If you aren't the type of player who is into flashy cosmetics, you probably won't be spending all your Elden Ring Nightreign Murk on costumes or an array of emotes. Instead, you'll want to focus on Scenic Flatstones. Think of these as a "gambling" mechanic from other action RPGs. You pay 600 Murk for each stone, and it'll instantly transform into a relic. In our experience, Scenic Flatstones can vary across all rarities, so you may find yourself sinking Murk into them to find the perfect roll.
