Season 1 left off on a major cliffhanger that saw Kristen seemingly having killed Orson Leroux, who falsely claimed he was possessed by a demon and was stalking her, right before burning her hand on a cross, which suggested demonic possession. With Leland revealed to be dealing with the devil and David’s visions hinting at something sinister coming, season 2 has plenty of material leftover to continue its story.
Evil has a pretty great main cast, with their characters further connecting with each other in deeper, more philosophical ways as the first season went on. Here's who will feature prominently in season 2, including the drama's ing characters.
Katja Herbers as Kristen Bouchard
Kristen Bouchard is a forensic psychologist who began working with the Catholic church to identify supernatural cases from psychological ones. Evil season 1 ended with Kristen having killed a man, potentially while she was possessed and season 2 will reckon with what happened. Katja Herbers has appeared in The Americans, Divorce, and The Leftovers. She is most notable for playing Emily Grace in Westworld.
Mike Colter as David Acosta
David Acosta is studying to be a priest and is getting closer to being ordained, but will be facing some further temptation in Evil season 2. He hired Kristen to work with him and Ben in season 1. Mike Colter is best known for playing the title character in Luke Cage, but he has also starred in Jessica Jones, Black and Blue, Girls Trip, and The Good Wife.
Aasif Mandvi as Ben Shakir
Ben Shakir is also a church contractor and a tech expert who also specializes in cynicism and logic. In Evil season 2, Ben will be experiencing night terrors that touch upon some of his biggest fears. Aasif Mandvi is known for The Last Airbender, The Proposal, Million Dollar Arm, Blue Bloods, and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Michael Emerson as Leland Townsend
Leland Townsend is also a forensic psychologist who seemingly works with the devil and has his sights set on destroying Kristen, notably dating and proposing to her mother Sheryl. Michael Emerson has been in a plethora of TV shows, primarily known for roles in Lost, Person of Interest, and Arrow.
Christine Lahti as Sheryl Luria
Sheryl is Kristen’s mom, the grandmother to four granddaughters, and the fiancée of Leland. Sheryl and Kristen have a falling out after Kristen tells her mother about Leland and the former doesn’t believe he’s up to no good. Christine Lahti is most notable for starring in Chicago Hope, The Blacklist, Hawaii Five-0, and Jack & Bobby.

Kurt Fuller as Dr. Kurt Boggs - Dr. Kurt Boggs is Kristen’s therapist who has aided her and David in certain cases, most notably assisting to note the medical implications of a supposedly possessed woman. Kurt Fuller has been in Psych, The Good Wife, Supernatural, Desperate Housewives, Alias, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Patrick Brammall as Andy Bouchard - Andy Bouchard is Kristen’s husband, the father to their four children, and a mountain climbing tour guide who leads people up Mount Everest. Patrick Brammall is most known for his role in the series No Activity, Call Your Mother, and The Letdown.
Brooklyn Shuck as Lynn Bouchard - Lynn is the eldest daughter of Kristen and Andy and the sister to Lila, Lexis, and Laura. Brooklyn Shuck is known best for her role in Rise.
Skylar Gray as Lila Bouchard - Lila is the second eldest daughter of Kristen and Andy. Skylar Gray is known for roles in Me, Myself, and I, Married, and Fresh Off the Boat.
Maddy Crocco as Lexis Bouchard - Lexis is the second youngest daughter of Kristen and Andy. Evil is Maddy Crocco’s first role.
Dalya Knapp as Laura Bouchard - Laura is the youngest daughter of Kristen and Andy who was born with a heart condition that mysteriously healed on its own when she was about to undergo surgery. Evil is Dayla Knapp’s first major role, but she voiced a character for the series The Shivering Truth.
