Warning: SPOILERS lie ahead for Evil's series finale!
While the show may be over for now, Stephen King is campaigning for Much of Evil's cast have voiced their mixed feelings about the show coming to an end, with creators Robert and Michelle King also having teased their original plans for a potential season 5.
Just over a week after the show came to a close, Stephen King took to his Twitter to share his hopes for Evil's future.
The post, as seen above, features a brief message from the iconic horror author to Paramount+ requesting "More EVIL, please". His call for season 5 comes just a few days after King's review for the show was circulated by star Katja Herbers on Twitter, with the author further expounding his thoughts in a quote tweet.
How Likely Is Evil Season 5 To Happen?
The series finale left the door pretty open for more.
Beyond just their disappointment at the decision to end the show, the main Evil cast all expressed their openness to returning for a potential revival, with Kurt Fuller, Andrea Martin and Screen Rant that the show would close out well, but wanting more. To their point, the Evil season 4 ending did properly leave a number of plot threads open to be explored in a potential season 5. One major storyline is Leland's ultimate fate, in which he is trapped inside a box in the silent monastery from season 2 with Sister Andrea guarding him.
Evil's popularity may help the Kings get the two more seasons worth of story they have planned.
The other major plot point that would be a key point going into a potential Evil season 5 is Kristen's protection of Timothy, the baby originally intended to be the Antichrist who, in spite of his baptism, is still showing signs of being demonic. The Kings previously indicated that would lead to a "cat-and-mouse" game between Kristen and David in a new season. They've also expressed their desire to incorporate more courtroom scenes to bring a satirical and meta approach to their Good Wife and Good Fight shows.

What An Evil Spinoff Would Really Need To Be The Perfect Season 5 Replacement
An Evil spin-off show after the series finale could be the perfect way to keep the show’s magic alive, as long as it includes these elements.
While there are plenty of plot threads left open, the question still remains how likely Evil season 5 is to happen. Emerson previously indicated to Screen Rant that finances were a big factor in the show coming to an end, and while the Kings have played coy about where there are any ongoing discussions, they have confirmed the show has been a major hit for Netflix. With Lucifer and Manifest, among others, Evil's popularity may help the Kings get the two more seasons worth of story they have planned.
