Chantel Had Accused Pedro Of Cheating On Her With Co-Worker
During The Family Chantel season 4, Chantel asked Pedro why he had come home at 3 a.m. She was unaware of where her husband was at times and why he was coming home drunk after leaving his car elsewhere. Chantel still tried not to take Pedro’s sketchy behavior seriously but then saw a sparkly gold water bottle in the house. Pedro did not reply to Chantel properly when she asked him who it belonged to. Pedro told her he was not cheating on her. He did not tell Chantel whose bottle was in their kitchen cabinet either, saying it was none of her business.
Chantel suspected Pedro was cheating on her with his co-worker Antonella Barrenechea. She had observed that Pedro was picking Antonella up and taking her to work. She called Pedro Antonella’s “do-boy.” He argued that if he was cheating on her, he would have left the house a long time ago. Pedro had formed a close bond with his real estate co-worker because they had started their careers at the same time and were learning the ropes of the business together. They had also joked about opening their own brokerage together someday. Pedro considered Antonella his “close friend.” He said, “And I believe that Chantel [is] jealous of that.”
Chantel’s mother, Karen Everett, hired a P.I. on The Family Chantel. He told Karen that Pedro was on a business trip with two of his co-workers and that he may have been involved with the “older female.” Karen referred to the woman as Pedro’s “mentor.” Chantel was shocked because she had opened up to Pedro’s co-worker about their relationship struggles and even been to her house. Chantel added, “They were most likely an item, and they were both gaslighting me together, which is bulls***.” There have also been suspicions that Pedro may have had an inappropriately close relationship with Antonella’s aunt and his boss, Laura Delgado.
