Silk is one of the rarest resources in Ghost of Tsushima that Jin can use to upgrade his Armor to a higher level. However, Silk cannot be collected like other common resources and need to be acquired by completing certain side quests/side tales.

Silk is used for final upgrades in Ghost of Tsushima, similar to other resources such as linen or leather. Once players acquire Silk, they can simply give the Silk to the armorer for an upgrade. Silk will be represented in the world of Tsushima as colorful folded clothing.

Silk can also be acquired by purchasing them from Trappers. These merchants can be located in Komatsu (once it has been freed) and other Mongol-occupied settlements/camps. Clearing these camps in Ghost of Tsushima can reward players with Silk from chests. Once a Trapper has traded with Jin, their stock will be depleted; however, they restock the next day.

Players should reserve Silk for Armor that they like to use the most. However, it should only be used for Armor that needs upgrading since this resource is hard to come by. Most of the final upgrades for Armor require Silk, making it one of the most valuable crafting resources in Ghost of Tsushima.
