Fire Country showrunner Tia Napolitano has teased what's next for Manny in season 3, including his potential return through Three Rock despite his unclear future. During the latest season, Manny has been dealing with being demoted after Bode went back to prison, later punching Luke for trying to shut down the convict fire camp. Since charges were pressed against him, Fire Country season 2 ended with the former firefighter walking Gabriela down the aisle prior to his arrest.
Speaking with TV Insider, Napolitano hinted at what's ahead for Manny in Fire Country season 3, explaining the many possibilities for his character moving forward. The showrunner explained he could be going to prison for his actions, but that his decision to be with his daughter during her wedding won't impact the consequences of his previous actions. Check out what Napolitano had to say about Manny's fate below:
So that’s the idea, that Manny is someone who understands the justice system, knows that he’s not technically breaking the law just by avoiding getting picked up randomly. He’s doing that purely technically by the book to walk her down the aisle. He understands exactly what he’s doing and that it won’t bring further consequences on him any worse than the trouble he’s already in.
We’re going to explore that and live with him. His future isn’t absolutely decided yet, and we’ll live in that anxiety with him as he finds out his fate. Three Rock’s not off the table, prison’s not off the table, freedom’s not off the table. We really won’t know how it’s going to go until we know.
What Will Happen To Manny In Fire Country Season 3?
Manny May Be Facing Consequences
Manny's journey throughout season 2 of the show has landed him at his lowest point, now arrested for his violent outburst against Luke. However, it's clear his heart is in the right place, as he wants Three Rock to still thrive despite the efforts of other characters to dismantle the inmate-focused rehabilitation group. His arrest after Gabriela's wedding means Fire Country season 3 could easily see him becoming a prisoner himself - reing Three Rock in a very different capacity.
Given his knowledge of firefighting coupled with his actions coming from a well-meaning place, it wouldn't be surprising if Manny reed Three Rock as a convict. Due to his past experiences with the program, he could end up being given a leadership position, still doing the job he loves even though he's now in prison. This would no doubt be to the ire of Luke, with the former firefighter's arrest not doing much to change their dynamic. The same goes for if he's freed, giving him the opportunity to jump into the program with more ion than ever before.

Sheriff Country: Confirmation, Cast & Everything We Know About The Fire Country Spinoff
Despite only being on its second season, the drama series Fire Country is getting its very own spinoff starring MCU alum Morena Baccarin.
The only other route for his story progression would be if he was imprisoned but was unable to Three Rock due to the conflict he had with Luke. This disastrous scenario is a very real possibility, as the potential of another fight breaking out between the pair might make their separation the best course of action. Although it's still not clear if he'll be imprisoned at all, Manny's fate in Fire Country is truly uncertain. However, if he does manage to get back to Three Rock, he will fight to keep the program alive and thriving.
