It didn't last long, but Flavor of Love fans celebrated the show's seventeenth anniversary.
Flav labeled each contestant as he saw fit, claiming to memorize nicknames better than real names. Years after leaving the show, many are still known by their nicknames today. It may also be good to know what new ventures some of the show's most popular contestants are currently focused on.
Pumkin
Brooke "Pumkin" Thompson was one of the show's biggest villains ever, and she claimed the third spot in the first season. Her most memorable action was spitting on Tiffany right after she was eliminated. This action earned her the "Best Fight" award at the 2006 Fox Reality Awards. Brooke resides in her hometown of Baskerville and works for an ing firm, according to VH1. Unlike her co-stars, she's hardly on social media, which she has described as toxic. Unsurprisingly, Brooke has stated that she would very much like to appear on reality TV again if a show as good as Flavor Of Love ever gave her an offer.
Buckwild
Appearing in the second season, Becky "Buckwild" Johnston was also as wild as reality TV contestants come. Her most infamous action was throwing a shoe at Tiffany. Becky constantly posts photos on Instagram, but little is known about her current profession. Back in 2015, VH1 had reported that she was working at a toy store and was content with the job. There are no "toy store" pictures on her Instagram, suggesting she might have quit that specific job. Her most recent photos feature her scuba diving in Cozumel.
Hoopz
The Flavor of Love season 1 winner won Flavor Flav's heart but then dropped the bombshell by announcing that she had no feelings for him. She would go on to get engaged to legendary basketball player Shaquille O'Neal. After emerging as the winner in Flavor Of Love, Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander also participated in and won another VH1 reality show titled I Love Money. She has demonstrated her entrepreneurial side by opening a clothing store and a wine collection. She has also starred in the movie King Dog. As of 2023, she is heavily focused on modeling.
New York
New York was also one of the most memorable villains of the show. After being rejected by Flavor Flav twice and finishing as runner-up in two consecutive seasons, Tiffany "New York" Pollard launched her spinoff show titled I Love New York, where she was the bachelorette being sought after. While some contestants from Flavor Of Love have branched out to different fields, Tiffany has taken reality TV very seriously. Since departing from the show, Tiffany has appeared in some of the best dating reality TV shows. In 2020, she appeared in Celebrity Ex On The Beach, where she was introduced as the ex of British ex-military operative David McIntosh.
Deelishis
Chandra "Deelishis" Davis won Flavor of Love season 2. Although it seemed like she and Flavor Flav were destined for a happily-ever-after life, the two broke up shortly after the season ended. After leaving the show, Chandra appeared in several Hip Hop music videos. She also had ing roles in the reality TV shows I Love Money and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta on the fifth-season finale in 2016. As of 2023, she's focused on her various influencer pursuits.
Bootz
During her time on the show, Larissa "Bootz" Hodge wouldn't stop fighting with Tiffany. She went on to finish in fourth place in Flavor Of Love season 2, behind the woman she hated the most. At the moment, Larissa's focused on being a career woman. According to her, she never continued the reality TV journey only because she was involved in a car accident that left her with serious injuries. The subsequent legal proceedings also took a toll on her. Hopefully, she'll see brighter days.
Buckeey
Shay "Buckeey" Johnson was a promising contender, but she only finished fifth. This didn't discourage her from pursuing a career in reality TV. She then became part of the most memorable Love & Hip Hop couples. Recently, Shay and her brother appeared in Iyanla: Fix My Life, where spiritual coach Iyanla Vanzant tried to reconcile her with her parents. Shay also continues to place her focus on fitness as well as reality TV. The star confessed to losing over 60 pounds over the past few years.
Saaphyri Windsor
She was the only contestant without a nickname, likely because she only lasted a single episode. However, that didn't break her resolve. Saaphyri appeared in Charm School, where she took the grand prize of $50,000. Saaphyri had quite the adventure after leaving the show. She served 20 months in prison for identity theft and also launched a lip balm line before returning to TV courtesy of the reality series Botched to correct some of her poorly-done plastic surgeries. Saaphyri also told VH1 that despite being booted after only a single episode, she genuinely loved Flav (via VH1). Today, she's focused on her cosmetics business.
Hottie
Schatar "Hottie" Sapphira was described as one of the show's prettiest contestants, a fact that she was very proud of. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough to make her a victor. Losing wasn't necessarily bad for her since Schatar has done a lot since leaving the show. She founded a film studio with her husband, Maxie Collier, that creates animated content and documentaries. As of 2017, she is also an author going by the pen name Star Sugarman, according to VH1. Her focus is on erotic novels.
Smiley
After appearing in Charm School and I Love Money, Smiley seems to have given up on a career on reality TV and is now focused on her personal life. Leilene "Smiley" Ondrade has kept her affairs private, but in 2016, she revealed that she had been divorced three times. She also stated that she is still into modeling and went back to school for film studies.
