Kortni Gilson Got New Tattoos
She Enjoys Getting Inked
Kortni loves getting inked. A tattoo can be a form of self-expression that is very symbolic. She chose a butterfly. She may feel that she's been through a similar metamorphosis. Does she feel like a caterpillar who's turned into a butterfly? Maybe so - and she has every right to think of herself that way.
Besides Kortni's sobriety journey, the Floribama Shore alum has also not been shy about showing off her love of tattoos to fans on Instagram. Kortni has about six tattoos on her left arm alone, each with a different personal meaning and message. Kortni has the words "feel," "divine feminine," "222," "Corinthians 6:14," "Keep Your Heart Open," and a cluster of stars tattooed on her left arm.

Kortni Is Defiant On Instagram
She's Enjoying Her Life But Acknowledging Her Infamy
Kortni came off like a villain sometimes on the show, and she knows that, but she doesn't feel the need to explain herself to every Tom, Dick and Harry. She has better things to do, such as enjoying motorcycle rides, working on her fitness and spending time with her dog. In the Instagram post shown above, she wrote:
It’s not my job to convince the internet that Ive changed. But I can show you the glimpse of me that would be proud that I have. 🫶🏼
Kortni is showing the world that a person can battle addiction and win. It's so hard to do, but it can be done. Also, a person doesn't need to lose their playful and adventurous spirit because they aren't using alcohol and substances. She's clean and Kortni's happier now - she still takes chances with life. In the clip above, she frolics with a friend, goes to the gym, sees a horse in the park, rides a motorbike, and shows off her style and fitness.
While reality fame may be behind her, that could be a good thing. That type of notoriety can be very hard on people. Some handle it better than others. Those who are prone to anxiety may turn to addictive substances in order to feel better. This can be very detrimental. While Kortni says she doesn't need to explain how she's changed, she still wants everyone to know that she has. So, some part of her is obviously caring what people think. Hopefully, she doesn't care too much.
Despite Kortni's colossal progress, Floribama Shore fans sadly won't get to see her back on the screens anytime soon. She is exploring life and wellness, though, and fans can follow along on Instagram. For example, she touting the benefits of IV therapy. She's worked hard to find activities that are truly healthy. This sensitive Cancer woman used to self-medicate with harmful things. Now, she's finding activities and therapies that give her a natural high. She's come such a long way.
