The Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach Ruin DLC is a free addition to the main game that continues the twisted tale of possessed animatronics that carry murderous intent towards the living. Players return to the Pizzaplex in Ruin, and like in Security Breach, this DLC has multiple endings, although not as many as the six endings that FNAF: Security Breach had. While there isn't an ending that's officially labeled as the canon ending, there's one that seems more likely than others to fill that spot.

Players step into the shoes of Cassie, a girl who's received a message from Gregory, the main character of FNAF: Security Breach. Gregory calls for help, and instead of ing an adult or the proper authorities to find her friend who's trapped inside a dilapidated building, Cassie takes up the search herself. While Ruin fixes some FNAF: Security Breach problems, it continues to add content to the franchise's mysteries - and at times, confusing - lore.

FNAF: Security Breach Ruin Elevator Ending

The Mimic caught in the elevator door during the elevator ending in FNAF Security Breach Ruin

This is essentially the default ending in FNAF: Security Breach Ruin. Throughout the game, Gregory is giving instructions to Cassie through the Roxy Talky. If players follow Gregory's instructions properly, they'll receive the Elevator Ending, which leaves Cassie's fate ambiguous in much the same way Security Breach left Gregory's fate with its multiple endings that imply Gregory could have left, only for him to either still be at the Pizzaplex or have returned at a later date.

Specifically, if players follow Gregory's instructions during a chase sequence with the Mimic, Cassie will end up at an elevator. While it might seem like a safe escape because the Mimic doesn't follow her into the elevator, Cassie isn't safe. Gregory apologizes and cuts the elevator line, which leads to Cassie plummeting to a possible death, but Ruin doesn't show if she actually dies or survives. However, Roxy can be heard calling Cassie's name during the credits, so it's possible she could be alive. Some theories speculate that it was the Mimic as Gregory that led her to the elevator, but there isn't yet confirmation about this being the case or not.

FNAF: Security Breach Ruin Scooper Ending

The scooper returns to FNAF, having appeared in the ending of Sister Location to scoop out Michael Afton's innards. In Ruin, the scooper is used as intended, meaning that it (presumably) scoops out the Mimic or destroys it in another manner. The important part is that the Mimic can't continue chasing Cassie, and that gives her an opportunity to survive and make it out of the Pizzaplex. To get this ending, players need to head toward the Control Room instead of the elevator, ignoring Gregory's instructions at the location where there are green rocks.

Cassie makes it to the Control Room, and although the Mimic tries to enter after her, it's instead dragged away by the scooper and likely scooped like the animatronics and Michael in Sister Location. This ending still has ambiguous elements, however, as it's not clear if Cassie escapes after activating the scooper. It's possible that she ends up trapped in the Pizzaplex like Gregory, assuming that Gregory is there at all and not just a trick of the Mimic to lure her there.

FNAF: Security Breach Ruin Fredbear Ending

Gregory, Vanessa, and Fredbear as seen in the Princess Quest ending as part of the Fredbear ending in the Ruin DLC

During the chase sequence at the end of Ruin, when players reach the green rocks and turn around, they'll see a Fredbear cardboard cutout. When looking at the cutout, players can equip the Vanny Mask to trigger the Fredbear ending, and it raises a lot of questions about what's happening and if Gregory was still in the Pizzaplex at all. However, this ending could also just be a reference to the Princess Quest ending in FNAF: Security Breach.

In this Ruin ending, Cassie sees Gregory outside in a scene almost identical to that of the Princess Quest ending in Security Breach, which is one of the better options for players who complete every Princess Quest mini-game. Gregory tells Cassie that he's okay and found a place to hide while players are able to hear her distress. Because that's all the ending shows, it seems more like an Easter Egg than a possible canon ending. If this was a real ending, it seems like the Mimic would catch up to Cassie, and that would make this the worst ending of the three.

Which FNAF: Security Breach Ruin Ending Is Canon?

While there isn't an ending that is outright labeled as the canon ending for Ruin, it's possible to make some educated guesses. Of course, the ending that players earn from following Gregory's instructions seems like the top candidate for the canon ending. Roxy calling out Cassie's name during the credits is particularly interesting since it implies that she could have survived the elevator falling or that there could be some kind of continuation of Cassie's story. However, it could be a bad ending considering the distance that Cassie fell with the elevator. It would be difficult to survive that fall.

The scooper ending is also a strong contender for a canon ending. It gets rid of the Mimic, which means that Cassie can search for Gregory and an exit in a safer environment. However, it seems like the canon ending for Security Breach is Gregory getting out of the Pizzaplex. In that case, even if the Mimic is gone, then Cassie would be left searching for somebody who might not be at the Pizzaplex at all. But that would line up with the trend of FNAF in leaving players with questions regarding what's the truth of the cursed Fazbear brand.

FNAF: Security Breach Ruin continues with the free-roam style the main game introduced, but it also runs smoother and fixes some issues that plagued Security Breach when it was first released. The fate of Gregory was left uncertain with multiple possible endings in Security Breach, and Ruin makes it seem like he never escaped the Pizzaplex, or that he returned for an unknown reason. Now, Cassie is entangled in the mystery and danger of Fazbear Entertainment, and her fate isn't fully revealed in any of the three endings included in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach Ruin.
