The Grishaverse consists of a lot of characters with complex pasts. Fans of the book know a lot about the characters already. So, if they're watching with a casual viewer, they can get carried away explaining the differences between the books and the series.
The series has yet to get renewed for season two on Netflix. But, fans of the books and the show hope for another season, as there are more stories from the Grishaverse to tell.

A Fan Cast Of The Darkling Became A Reality
Back in 2012, a Tumblr cast Ben Barnes as the Darkling. He became a popular choice for the Darkling in the fandom. When Netflix announced that Ben Barnes would play the Darkling in the television adaption of the book, fans were thrilled.
Additionally, Ben Barnes slid his phone with the Tumblr photo over to the series's showrunner during a lunch meeting. He used it as proof as to why he would get the part. This meme jokes that the Tumblr has the gift of prophecy, as they foretold the future.
