In addition to that, the developer also used the event to confirm a few extra additions to the title, including teases of a new Archon Quest involving Dainsleif and the Traveler’s sibling, as well as events. The Version 4.7 livestream was also the stage for the official announcement of a game mode that had long been leaked. Genshin Impact 4.7 - Release Date
Update Follows Regular Schedule
The release date of Version 4.7 was revealed during the respective livestream, which was broadcast on the official Genshin Impact channel on Twitch. According to the announcement made by HoYoverse, Version 4.7 is set to arrive on June 5 across all platforms. This is in line with the game’s regular six-week schedule between every patch and seems to indicate that there have been no delays in content development. The announcement of the release date for Genshin Impact 4.7 also makes it unlikely that the patch will be delayed.
When a patch is to be delayed, HoYoverse also tends to postpone the respective livestream, which gives it more time to work on the content.
Genshin Impact 4.7 - New Characters & Banners
Three New Units Arrive In The Patch
As was previously announced, three new playable characters are being added to the game with Version 4.7. Clorinde and Sigewinne have been confirmed to be new 5-star units, while Sethos has been revealed to be a new 4-star character. Clorinde is an Electro sword who has been described as a DPS, responsible for dealing damage and increasing that very damage via a Bond of Life mechanic. For reference, Bond of Life is the same debuff mechanic used by Arlecchino in Genshin Impact to empower her attacks.
Similarly, Sigewinne will also use a Bond of Life mechanic, but the 5-star Hydro bow will instead operate as a healer in team comps. The character will provide healing via her abilities, though Sigewinne will be able to intensify the amount of healing by stacking Bond of Life upon herself. The healer will also be able to deal damage to opponents via her abilities, though her main specialty is operating as a damage mitigator for her allies. A lot of what was shown had already been featured in leaks about Sigewinne’s abilities in Genshin Impact 4.7.
Sethos, on the other hand, will be a 4-star Electro bow . From what was presented during the livestream, Sethos will operate as a DPS on the field, with his damage output scaling off his Elemental Mastery stat. The character made his debut as an NPC recently, with Version 4.6’s second Character Quest for Cyno, in which Sethos appears as a friendly rival to dispute the power bestowed upon the General Mahamatra. Following his release, Sethos will be incorporated into the regular loot pool, as opposed to the two aforementioned limited-time 5-star characters in Genshin Impact 4.7.
When it comes to the banner structure in the patch, HoYoverse revealed that Phase 1 – the first half of the update – will feature Clorinde and Alhaitham as the limited-time 5-star characters. During that period, their respective weapons will also be featured in the weapons banner. In Phase 2, the latter half of the patch, Sigewinne will make her debut as a playable character alongside the much-awaited rerun of Furina. Likewise, the two character’s signature weapons will be available in the weapons banner during their time in Genshin Impact 4.7 character banners.
Sethos will become available as a playable character starting in Phase 1.
Genshin Impact 4.7 - Story Updates, Events, & More
New Endgame Mode Stacks With The Spiral Abyss
While three new playable characters may already seem like a lot of content for a late-year update preceding the release of Natlan in Genshin Impact later this year, Version 4.7 will have more content, including important story quests to go through. The livestream teased a new Archon quest featuring the return of Dainsleif, which should give more depth to the larger story told in Teyvat and how he once traveled with the Traveler’s sibling as companions rather than enemies on opposing sides. Not much was revealed, however, possibly as a means of avoiding spoilers for the time being.
Clorinde will also have her own unique Story Quest, allowing players to further develop a relationship with the Champion Duelist of Fontaine and her connection to the Marechaussee Hunters. Similarly, Sigewinne will also have a dedicated Story Quest, which will allow players to further understand her past and how she came to be the head nurse at the Fortress of Meropide – and why she is different from other Melusines in Fontaine.

Genshin Impact 4.7 Is Finally Getting A Highly Requested Update
One highly solicited update to Genshin Impact is finally getting implemented with the arrival of Version 4.7, as confirmed by developer HoYoverse.
In addition to the story quests, players will also receive a new game mode called Imaginarium Theater, which had already been leaked. Imaginarium Theater is an endgame mode that features elements of roguelike progression. As players go through stages of the activity, they will choose from among some randomized buffs and modifiers, which will change how they tackle the mode. Additionally, players will only be able to use the same characters twice every run of Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact.
The characters chosen during the initial lineup will have buffs that are applied outside of Imaginarium Theater as well.
Because of that limitation, they will be able to use characters loaned from their friends – which explains why the game is expanding the friends list cap to 100. Players will also have access to trial characters and special guests that are not limited by the mode’s conditions. The endgame activity will also provide extra rewards for players, including Primogems and other exclusive prizes, such as poses for characters in the photo mode. Imaginarium Theater becomes available for players at Adventure Rank 35 or higher and is a permanent game mode in Genshin Impact, alongside the Spiral Abyss.
The Imaginarium Theater has a connection to the Hexenzirkel.
While Imaginarium Theater is the big gameplay addition in the patch, Version 4.7 will also have a roster of limited-time events. Mutual Security Enhancing Simulation will be the main one, featuring the limited F2P 4-star bow called Cloudforged, which can be obtained for free, along with its exclusive enhancement materials. This event will be focused around tower defense and MOBA-inspired activities. Players will also be able to tackle Endless Forms Most Martial, a combat-based event with strategic modifiers. The Spinoblaster event is also making a comeback in Genshin Impact 4.7.
There will be more events and updates in the patch, including the return of the Ley Line Overflow and more cards added to the Genius Invokation TCG. While the game would naturally start slowing down in of content ahead of the release of a major new region, it seems like Version 4.7 will introduce a lot of content and important quests as players get ready to explore Natlan later in 2024 – a portion of Natlan’s new mount system in Genshin Impact was also teased at the end of the livestream.
