With the new Genshin Impact Version 3.4 update comes new additions to the Genius Invokation TCG, bringing new cards and strategies to the game mode. Following the post announcing consistent updates for Genius Invokation, this most recent addition proves that the card game won't just be a one-off addition to the game. Due to this, many players want to get the most out of the new game mode by constructing the best Genius Invokation decks in Genshin Impact.
According to Game8, the "Starter Deck" given to players at the beginning of their Genshin Impact Genius Invokation journey, although simple to use, is relatively weak compared to much stronger decks in the meta. This includes the two meta-defining decks, the "Liyue Freeze Deck" and the "Ayamiya Melt Deck." Also, for players looking to play something strong, but different from than these Ayaka-themed decks, the "Token Overload Deck" is a fun option to choose.
Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG: The "Liyue Freeze Deck"
First, the "Liyue Freeze Deck" in Genshin Impact's Genius Invokation consists of:
- Ayaka, Chongyun, and Xingqiu for Main Character Cards
- x2 Strategize, x2 Changing Shifts, x2 The Best Traveling Companion!, x1 Send Off, x1 Starsigns, x1 Leave it to Me!, x2 Paimon, x1 Katheryne, x2 Liben, x2 Chang the Ninth, x2 Liu Su, x2 Elemental Resonance: Woven Ice, x2 Elemental Resonance: Shattering Ice, x2 Minty Meat Rolls, x1 Mondstadt Hashbrowns, x1 Parametric Transformer, x1 NRE, x1 Jade Chamber, and x2 Kenten Senmyou Blessing for Action Cards
The strategy of this deck will involve setting up Genshin Impact's Freeze Elemental Reaction by starting as Xingqiu and quickly attempting to gain his Elemental Burst. After using his burst, which will deal Hydro damage after Normal Attacks, players will want to switch to Ayaka, activating her ive. This ive will cause her Normal Attacks to deal Cryo damage, instantly causing Freeze Reactions.
This can be repeated for as many times as Ayaka can attack, so getting a high amount of Cryo dice, or using Minty Meat Rolls to lower Ayaka's attack cost could potentially lead to massive amounts of damage. When playing this best Genius Invokation deck in Genshin Impact, players should be careful of opponent decks that can force the active character to be swapped as it can interrupt the combo.
Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG: The "Ayamiya Melt Deck"
The "Ayamiya Melt Deck" in Genshin Impact's Genius Invokation TCG consists of:
- Ayaka, Yoimiya, and the Fatui Pyro Agent for Main Character Cards
- x2 Gambler's Earrings, x1 Strategize, x2 Changing Shifts, x1 Send Off, x2 Calix's Arts, x2 Starsigns, x2 Leave it to Me!, x2 Paimon, x2 Liben, x2 Liu Su, x2 Elemental Resonance: Woven Flames, x1 Elemental Resonance: Fervent Flames, x2 Minty Meat Rolls, x1 Lotus Flower Chips, x2 Northern Smoked Chicken, x2 Parametric Transformer, and x2 NRE for Action Cards
For this best Genius Invokation deck, players will want to set up a similar combo to the "Liyue Freeze Deck," but will be using Melt Elemental Reactions rather than Freeze. Starting with Yoimiya, players should build energy with Starsigns cards and Normal Attacks to get off her Elemental Burst, which deals Pyro damage after an allied character uses a skill, as soon as possible.
After using her burst, once again players will want to swap to Genshin Impact character Ayaka, and use her Cryo attacks to cause multiple reactions. After the combo ends, switching to the Pyro Agent will be helpful to stall for cards, until the combo can be set up again. Again, things that can stop the combo are extremely detrimental to the deck, meaning Overload decks and Anemo characters will cause problems.
Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG: The "Token Overload Deck"
Finally, the Genius Invokation TCG "Token Overload Deck" consists of:
- Xiangling, Fischl and Keqing for Main Character Cards
- x2 Exile's Circlet, x1 Thundering Fury, x2 Strategize, x2 The Best Traveling Companion!, x2 Starsigns, x1 When The Crane Returned, x1 Leave it to Me!, x2 Paimon, x2 Katheryne, x1 Chang the Ninth, x2 Elemental Resonance: Woven Thunder, x2 Elemental Resonance: High Voltage, x2 Mondstadt Hashbrowns, x1 NRE, x2 Jade Chamber, x1 Crossfire, x2 Stellar Predator, x1 Thundering Presence and x1 Sacrificial Sword for Action Cards
Players will start with Genshin Impact character, Xiangling, setting up Gouba and getting her Elemental Burst, which will create a damaging Pyronado after a friendly character uses a skill, as quickly as possible. Then, players can switch to either Fischl or Keqinq, depending on which they prefer, and start using their abilities to cause Overload Reactions. This will repeatedly cycle the enemy team, allowing for damage on every enemy character.
Finally, players will want to end the combo by using either character's Elemental Burst, which should finish off at least one of the enemy characters. After the main damage combo, players will want to stall and protect Xiangling until they can reset another combo. This means, like with most of the best Genius Invokation decks in Genshin Impact, players will want to watch out for any decks that can ruin the set-up, including Swirl decks or other Overload decks.
