You can complete a mysterious Stone Plate puzzle on Seirai Island in Genshin Impact. While exploring Inazuma, you may run into one of several Pressure Plate puzzles where you need to step on them to find the solution. Each has its order of operations, as one puzzle can range from turning on all the Pressure Plates at once, while others are focused on stepping on them in the correct order.

Before accessing this puzzle, you must learn how to get to Inazuma, a location added to the game as part of version 2.0. To access it, you have to be at least Adventure Rank 30 and have started the Archon quest 'Chapter II: Act I - The Immortal God and the Eternal Euthymia'. You can start this questline by heading over to Liyue Harbor and speaking with Katheryne.

After setting sail for Inazuma, you should be able to reach the Seirai Islands without issue in Genshin Impact. There are several Pressure Plate puzzles on the Seirai Islands, but the one in question has the Stone Plate attached to it. The Stone Plate puzzle is located to the right of Koseki Village, so use a nearby Waypoint to teleport as close as you can to this area.

Summertide Scales and Tales in Genshin Impact features a puzzle that requires you to find a set of missing beavers, so you can open a Precious Chest.

Most of the puzzles on Seirai Island in Genshin Impact are quite straightforward; however, the Stone Plate puzzle is a bit different. You can locate this puzzle east of the island’s Statue of the Seven. The puzzle will be near the shore, and you can easily find it by spotting a grid of 9 different stone plates.

Upon arriving at this location, you might notice that three out of the possible nine Stone Plates are already illuminated. The Stone Tablet at the back of the puzzle states, "And that which is different shall be illuminated all the same," giving you the only clue to solving this puzzle. To complete this puzzle in Genshin Impact, you must light up different Plates than the ones already glowing.

You may want to draw a diagram or take a screenshot of which Stone Plates have been lit up at the beginning of the puzzle. This will help you determine which ones need to be illuminated instead as you try to find the right solution.

Stepping on a plate twice will cause it to extinguish its light, allowing you to alter the look of the puzzle. Once you've taken note of which Stone Tablets are lit up, go to a nearby gate to turn yourself into a ball of electricity. By following the path from this gate, you can be transported to the other side of the puzzle in an area south of Koseki Village.

Although you could swim to this space as well, you will end up in another area filled with Stone Tablets similar to the place you just left. Here, light up the Tablets that were not lit before to follow the statement you read earlier. If you were facing the front of the previous puzzle, you would need to light up the top-middle, top-right, middle-left, middle-right, bottom-left, and bottom-middle Tablets.

Lighting up all the Tablets will reward you with an Exquisite Chest, which will provide free Primogems in Genshin Impact, along with some of these valuable items:

  • Mystic Enhancement Ore
  • Fine Enhancement Ore
  • Traveling Doctor's Handkerchief
  • Exile's Pocket Watch
  • Seasoned Hunter's Bow

The ambiguity of this puzzle can make it hard to find a solution at first, with only one hint as a vague instruction. Those who manage to find ou the meaning behind the "That Which is Different Shall be Illuminated" phrase will manage to get great loot in Genshin Impact for their deductive skills.
